Looking for small animals (crows, ravens, rats, snakes, etc.)

Hello everybody :)

I am working on an \"almost-finished\" scenery, and I am looking for some small animals in that mini-30mm- / 1:60-scale to bring a bit more life to it. Unfortunately, I was not successful until now - either they were too large or too small... :(

Does anybody know, whether there is a manufacturer and / or shop which sells crows, ravens, snakes, etc. or sets of small animals in this scale? Best in Germany or at least in Europe.

I would be very grateful, if you could help me :)

Thanks in advance, and a good evening to everybody :)

There are some on different GW sprues, they are a bit comical though but the Wood Elf Owl is cute. Not very true to the scale perhaps but it generally works better if an animal is a bit out of scale then other figures I think.

Warhammer fantasy Giant sprue has several carion birds - often appears in bit stores on e-bay

Avalorn: The GW Wood Elves Owl is a pretty good scale representation of several European Owls, most like the Eagle Owl or the Long Eared Owl.
I have the good fortune to occasionaly see a Barn owl perched on my garden fence, so I know that it\'s not particulary big, roughly 10-12 inches.

When I was at university, the landlord of one of the local pubs used to take his pet owl for a walk.

As for the small animal minis. The skaven giant rats are probably too big but there is one normal size rat on every sprue of 5 skaven clanrats so it could be worth checking the various bitz dealers for those.

Thanks a lot for your tips :)

And sorry for my question which - afterwards - seems a bit unnecessary to me, too. But I simply did not try looking for \"familiars\" on battlefield-berlin.de before which would have shown me that familiar pack directly... Appearently, I just oversaw it when browsing up 90 web pages with search hits.

I will keep searching a bit better next time.

(But what has this to do with R. Gere...
???)

there was an unconfirmed rumour that he put a small rodent (some say hamster, some say gerbil) in his bum, for fun

No worries. They do have an awful lot of stuff. I only knew about it because I was hunting through their site the other day in search of coolness. I found lots! :D

Cindy Duckino did a range of owls, cats and a teddy I think in her Magpie Miniatures range, not sure if Cindy is still trading or not but they were good little sculpts if you can still get hold of them :D

@Sven; No Problem. I really like Owls, find them a fascinating bird.
OH and I used the Wood Elf OWl in my abortive attempt to challenge GW\'s WFB Single Figure Category last year. It was the best thing about the whole entry. lol
