The best varnish concensus is \"testor\'s Dul-Coat\" most perfer spray, but I like the brush-on (I\'ll get my airbrush out for a big fig.) A couple of coats of Krylon crystal clear seem to protect a table top fig.

As to advise:

Your tanks look like they just rolled off of the factory line. Nice, but not battle dirty.

Most of your figs need some base work. A small bag of fine sand and some elmers glue would do wonders for them.

These guys are pretty good - need a flat finish and a base though. Post them here on CMON and see what scores they get.

I like the spider tank and the lifter-bot. Nice creative centerpeices. Your painting on the otherhand seems a little flat. A little more contrast would do wonders for your army. :flip::bouncy:

i have been thinking about contrasting colours but can\'t make my mind up what coulds to go for, i want to stick to the purple since that is my main army colours, what about purple and green?

as for posting my pictures, i am new to this web site and not shore how to, i will have a look and find out how,

i will get round to doing the bases.

i have been experamenting with making my tanks and stuff look grubbyer

Welcome to the site. As for contrasting colors with purple green works rather well, and has been mentioned as an option in several threads.

Purchase thyself a colour wheel - very handy when trying to figure out a color scheme.

As for purple, gold usually works well.
