Greetings all!

I\'ve been hunting high and low for an article on how to paint them and have never found any.

Any help people will be a great help.

Thanks!

:) I don\'t know of any articles, but google up some photos of tigers and study their stripe patterns.:flip:

One suggestion is that when you do the stripes, don\'t make the edges sharp. Blur them a bit. It makes them look more like fur. If the edge is too abrupt they look like paint stripes.

firstly, what are you wanting to paint the stripes on too. if its fur, do as shawn R.L says, or if its on armour, its probably better to make them sharper at the edges, rather than blurred.

Thanks for the tips

I\'m going to paint up an Ogre Kingdoms army. There is a hero unit that comes with 2 sabertusks (ST Tigers). I wanted to paint them up accordingly.

Failing that I could make them look like snow leopards or something similar.

Thanks for the help!

Tiger stripes? That shouldn\'t be too hard. I wouldn\'t recomment making the edges blurry -- on such a tiny scale you\'d need them to be sharp to really stand out, I think. A piece of advise: don\'t just leave them blank black, use grey to highlight each stripe separately. Oh and one more thing to remember: tigers\' pelts are white on the belly :)
