Looking to achieve a crackled porcelain look... Please help!

Hey ladies and gents, I hope all is well. As the title says, I'm looking to achieve an antique cracked porcelain look on some 22mm scale minis and I'm not sure how to start. I've included the following photo to illustrate what I'm looking for:

Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated!

I'd suggest that you practice on a test piece first, because man that looks like its gonna be difficult on a 22m figure.

If it were me trying it I start with an off white base colour (White and a tiny touch of grey added) then with highly thinned darker grey and a 2/0 brush I'd trace in the first line and work the others away from it in arcs.
After that I think I'd try to edge highlight the solid colours in between the cracks, then glaze over the lot with a clean brush and Vallejo Model Colour White Glaze.

MaXXxxxx Crackle paint gives a lifted edge effect like exactly like weathered paint not a smooth glossy finish. Crackle is great for showing surface effects but this is sub-surface and much more difficult to pull off.

If I were trying to do something like this on a 22mm miniature I'd do pretty much what Dragonsreach is suggesting - paint the effect on and then gloss varnish over the top. I've a feeling that the various crackle medium's are just going to obscure any detail on the miniature.

Thank you for the suggestions. Totally meant to put 28mm miniature, sorry!

So I went ahead and picked up Distress Crackle Paint Clear Rock Candy:

Being clear, it supposedly dries with a fairly glossy finish. It's acrylic based, so I've read it can be thinned with water which gives finer cracks in the finish. It's supposed to be able to be mixed with paint as well... All that being said, I'm going to do some test runs on some sheets of plasticard and/or some extra minis to see which will achieve the effect I want. I'll be sure to post the results here.

cool, looks like good stuff. you could maybe hit it with a coat of matt varnish if its too glossy.
good luck and keep us posted.
