hey CMON...

this is the fourth mini in my Gamer's Series, an experiment to see if gamers and collectors are interested in copies of the studio scheme painted to a studio quality...
you be the judge on wether or not i pulled it off, and ebay bidders will be the judge on wether or not there is a market for these minis...
they have sold well so far...

the latest Imperial Guard Codex had some nice paintjobs in it...
they really went to town on the HQ's...
as soon as i saw the Lord Commissar, i knew i had to paint one...
unfortunately, commissions and contests got in the way, so this guy was sitting on my table 2/3 painted for months...
i'm glad to finally get this guy finished...

i had a lot of fun with the freehand trim on the cloak, as well as the fur on the back...
unfortunately, the photography really didn't do this one justice...
no matter what i did, i just couldn't capture things like the purple glow to the sword...
it was interesting to try painting metals in a NMM style...
this is the first time i've tried it, and it really makes a dramatic difference...

That si some beautiful work! Your blending is nearly flawless and the colors flow together naturally. I wish I could come up with any suggestions... but I can't!

My only constructive criticisms is that the free hand looks a little thick but love the design, and the model looks a little shiney. Perhaps using something to matt it up slightly.

I agree with lettuce, a bit thinner lines would do it even better. But this is really good, a quality paintjob that'd grace any collection.
