Lord Of The Mess-ups

I recently dipped my toe into the water (after three years of serial lurking) and posted my first figure.

Now here comes the mess up. I wasn\'t quite happy with how the image had come out so put together some new composite pics.

(It took me ages to do as I\'m a techno-goof).
However, I assumed I could simply take the old pic off and replace it with the new one, but it transpires that the \'update\' button in your account doesn\'t swap the picture for the new one. (I\'ve since scoured the forums and found threads that enlightened me as to why )

Now I\'m not entirely comfortable with having the same pic on twice - it doesn\'t quite sit right. It\'s just that after people have been good enough to vote (and in some instances, comment) I\'d hate them to come across the same figure and think it was a bit off of me.

I don\'t want to be blacklisted before I\'ve even got going and want to apologise if I\'ve broken any protocol or secret unwritten rules. (Knowing how powerful and masonic a community CMON is )

Next time I\'ll get it right first off... and rest assured, hair shirt (and hair undies) will be worn for the rest of the day....lol

I don\'t think it is too big of a deal. The thing that most folks have a peeve about is having say, six or seven submissions all of the same mini, from every conceivable angle.

I don\'t think you will be banned (at least not right away)

BTW, that is a pretty sweet looking mini. I love the base. I voted and commented on both submissions.......

Nice work (I gave it a 9). I really like the split in the book on the play/display base. If you would have carried that freehand around to the back (outside) of his cloak

I think the red needs one more highlight right at the top along his shoulders. The feather is not quite right, (but I haven\'t seen one yet that looks like a feather). Those are the only things I can find to pick on.

Keep working at this level and you will go far or go blind.lol

I wouldn\'t worry about reposting a pic. In fact, now that I\'ve gotten to know how to use Photoshop better, I\'ve been reposting some of my minis with gradient backgrounds, I usually wait till the new pics have reached 50 votes (so that they can be included in my ranking) then take the old ones down

The only annoying thing is when you put up a better picture, and it gets a lower mark than the old one lol
