Well, I just watched all three LOTR films back to back on my new 40\" sony LCD tele WOW  and quite frankly I\'m knackered. But what an excellent experience, what a film:D
Dont think I\'m rich, I\'m just good at getting large loans :( well we only live once so they say
I just want to buy lots of LOTR mini\'s now, but I must resist.

My favorite bit \"the ride of the rohan\" \"charge of the light brigade revisited\"

Anyone else done this??????????? ;)

The only chance I will get to do this is if there is a hell!
Loved the first movie (saw it 7 times).
Liked the second movie (saw it twice)
Wanted to walk out of the third movie (didn\'t quite get that bad, it\'s not Phantom menace after all).

Sean Bean was the best, his death made me a bit blurry eyed.

Not done it back to back, but done them over 3 nights a couple of times.

Favourite scenes:
\"The Ambush as Amon-Hen\"
\"The Orcs at the edge of Fangorn\"
\"The Battle of Helm\'s Deep\"
\"The Beacons of Isenguard\"
\"The Charge of the Rohirrim\"

But let\'s be honest you\'ve really got to do the Battle scenes with the volume cranked Waaaay up. LOL

I agree partly with the evil monky. Boromir\'s death was one of the big highlights for me. Also watching the Gallion pull in to land expecting corsais to leap out and having the army of the dead lay the smack down instead.
I have to agree also that my ass was pretty much dead after the return of the king!
As for marathon viewing, I was actually planning on going through the Star Wars movies  ( tempted to miss out the phantom menace)

When Return of the Jedi first came out I went with my brother to watch episodes 4, 5 and 6 back to back at the local cinema. Started early in the morning with a bag full of sweets (all eaten by the time the first film started!) and still managed to come out in sunlight.
Recently have watched all six in an overnight session when my wife was away - lots of caffiene needed for that.

Yes, there\'s so many great bits, and our Sean Bean, what a great actor, I love the sharpes series, even if it was low budget

the only bit I found slow was the 2nd one \"two towers\" at the beginning.

I loved the third one, but maybe its because I\'ve only seen the extended versions of all of them, :D

Star wars, now theres another epic, you\'ve got me started now:eek:

I\'ve put on a stone already in chocolate and popcorn :D

He was good, particularly when he went insane and tried to get the ring. I did quite like the bits when he was dying, and Peter Jackson did all the slow-motion. I thought that bit was very well done.

My favourite parts of LOTR were -

Fellowship - Balin\'s Tomb battle
Towers - Smeagol\'s argument with Gollum \"I told him to go away and away he went\"
Return - The coronation when they all kneel for the Hobbits, always brings a lump to my throat (or that might have been the popcorn)

low budget yes but they didn\'t scrimp on the accuracy. The 95th, 60th rifles were spot on; chief advisor was actually one of Sharpe\'s chosen men. The only thing wrong was Sharpe (Bean really) not wearing his Shako (hat). He would have done, but there\'s vanity in a leading actor!

Hummm, I like all three movies, but don\'t think I would be game enougth to do the three back to back.
Think I\'d end up all white and shaky with a terrible headhake (sp?). Too much TV dosn\'t agree with me

I have done this too. My favorite part from the books and movies was \"The Last March of the Ents\". Big Trees smashing gobbos and chuckin\' rocks. Excellent.

Yeah, I\'ve watched them back to back a couple of times. It\'s great fun, but the only problem is that my mates usually fall asleeplol

My favourite scene is the Amon Hen scene. Sean Bean\'s amazing...
