Oh matty! For shame! FOR SHAME!!!
Quick question though. See the scene in TTT when Aragorn and co find the burnt bodies of the orcs? When Aragorn kicked that helmet and yelled did Hugo really break something in his foot???
Theres some kind of speculation, but being the cynical bastard I am- I just don\'t buy it.

On the cast commentary they said he broke 1 or 2 toes from kicking the helmet. Then the next day he had to do the running down the hill bit when they see the wargs comming on the way to helms deep.

Yes but....being a student, with a sunday only job, and a hobby to fund, and an internet connection to pay for, i really dont have money to pay for luxurys like DVD\'s. I dont even use the heating or have a TV in my flat, TV license is a bit of a rip off with the rubbish they put on it these days and when its cold i can just put on an extra jumper! lol

Oh poor matty, well, my boiler is broken as well, so no heating.
My idea was to get a loan and get it fixed.............................so I went out and bought a 40\" sony LCD tele, and you say there\'s nothing on it :D:eek:

The boiler aint broken! Just costs to much, pay about £5 a WEEK gas and electric!! ;)
I just prefer not to watch 17 HOURS of soaps per day, and i dont think the TV license price justifys this, there is some select few programs i watch, but i jus get them off the net! ;)

That\'s exactly what I do:D I don\'t even look at the TV, becuase it\'s behind me, I have watched them so many times I see the movie in my head when I listen to the dvd\'s.

aaah a mac user. Bless you :p

I wish I had a 40 inch TV. I usually watch all 3 films over the course of a week. A little here and there, my wife does not have the patience to watch all 3 in a row.

My favorite parts are Tom Bombadil, the Scouring of the Shire and the part where Faramir remains true to the honorable character he is in the books. Oh wait, I must be thinking of the Jack Peterson version.

Yes, lol I see your point, Tom Bombadil, and Goldberry had a big influence on me when I first read the book, a shame he could not of put at least a bit of Tom in the films:D

Well, he did do a small nod to Tom when Treebeard helps Merry & Pippin escape from the tree in TTT Extended

Tom had a huge influence on me as well. It made think the books were boring nonsense and I had better things to do with my time! lol I did manage to read them all the way through though but only once.

What books do you prefere ? I bet a good love story by Barbera Cartland:D

I like Robin Hobbs, Tad Williams, J.V.Jones.
Enjoyed David Gemmells early work but found his stories got a bit of sameness to them.

I actually like the concepts of LOTR and Tolkien was certainly a genius and pioneer. I just think he was a bit crap at editing! ;)
