Lugdunum 2006

After going to my LGS I got confirmed by the organiser that the 2006 Lugdunum would take place Febuary 11th and 12th.

What is this you might ask? It\'s a french miniature Open in the city of Lyon. The access is free. There will be a miniature contest (entering a mini costs a couple euros and the price goes down if you enter several; the judges are confirmed painters), a speed painting contest, demonstrations from confirmed historical and fantasy miniature painters, many confirmed french painters (last year, I had the pleasure to meet Jérémie, Allan, Julien, and Yannick (among others)), and some wargaming in a seperate room.

For those who didn\'t see last year\'s entries >>here<< are the winners (click on the top buttons).

I thought the news might interest our border country friends :).

Well, the week-end was a lot of fun and the minis presented were great too. In addition to the french, there was a large italian delegation, some greeks, and a russian.

Pics can be found here (in the table that says \"LYON : 11 et 12 février\") :

If the pics I took aren\'t too blurry, I\'ll try to post them tonight.

Yeah, it was nice :). The town hall where it took place organised a \"cocktail\" and the Lugdunum Club booked a restaurant on saturday evening. There was also some painting and sculpting demonstrations (projected on big screens) and a speed painting contest (30 minutes to paint) was organised on one of Fenryl\'s pumpkins. In all, over 500 minis were presented.
