Lysette from Werner Klocke

This was a very long project. I struggled with several things but at the end it turns out very well - i hope ;-). Now i can add an other greate Werner Klocke mini to my glass cabinet. An i Lysette is the best mini i\'ve ever done. Had so mutch fun to paint. The dragon is spying fire and this fire becomes this golden ornament on her blue dress. The Blue is a very cold one so i decided to place this mini on a winter base. As well her bright skin should reflect the coldness in this diorama. Painted compleatly in NMM. The gold parts and the sword etc. Please let me know if you like it. Comments and criticism are always wellcome. You can find a close up on the following links.

Very nicely done. I cannot pick on her hardly at all, the snow could use a touch of blue tone to give it some shadow (if you can see it, you put on too much).

Just curious, but why do you find it necessary to post the same image twice? 116245 & 116249 are identical.

What I am getting at is that it seems an artificial way to raise your ratings, four or five posts of one very good mini vs. 5 very good minis. There was a purple dragon that must have had 20 posts by the user from every different angle. It got to where when it came up in my voting window, I downgraded it severely.

It\'s only an other size because the 600 pix are sometimes to big for some people. However downgrade the mini if you don\'t like that i post the same picture in two different sizes. I don\'t care. ;-)
I want to here some comments and criticism to become a better painter. Because i\'ve fun to paint and not to increase my rating with each posted mini. So what do you think about the mini i painted?

Cheers

#...46 is the winning picture for me.

Did you put an actual gem in the staff? Great work if not.

The dress is superb, I cannot help you improve there - way above my current abilities. The flesh is also superior. The only nit pic I can find is some of the browns seem a bit monotone - her hair closely matches the staff and belt. Many of our model paints have this problem.

I\'m not real sure about the amount of snow in the trees. Granted, I live in FL now and it has been a long time since I\'ve seen snow, but those trees look excessively loaded.

And why does she always remind me of Dolly Parton with Spock ears?

- The gem is painted.
- Yes that my problem with the base. This is the first time i tried snow on trees. Turned out more difficult then i thought. However it\'s possible that there is so much snow on a tree. We had last month over 3 meters snow in a view days here in Germany. :D
- Don\'t know but i think maybe Werner Klocke likes she. ;)

Ditto the comment about the multiple pictures. I find the four pictures of the same figure very irritating. Personal pet hate of mine, sorry.

The base work is great though, and the figure really stands out against it. The freehand is very well done. I look forward to seeing your next work.

The only thing I can find wrong is the black lining on the freehand. It is not even in some places. Its still 100 times better than I could do tho. Voted
