Some of you might remember my little girl Mabel. In case you don\'t... here is one gorgeously painted by EricJ:

(and while you are at it... go vote ;) http://www.coolminiornot.com/132086 )

Well what is the case?...She\'s not really resurrected, but she has been recast.

I had no intention to recast her, hence me advertising and selling her before in a very limited amount... 50 (well actually only 45 were sold... the other 5 are still with me, including a few painted)... It is more a case of a slight caster-mess-up as I never gave an order to have them recast in the first place.

This gave me a little bunch of the girl today as I could not get it over my heart to have them destroyed now. They should have been at the casters right away, melted to be used to cast the rest, as she is in a shared mould (well the only stranger in the mould really, a little guest.) but had been send to my fellow countryman who owns the rest of the mould instead by mistake. So instead of having him send them back over the pond and reclaim some money from the caster... I payed for them and had him send them to me instead this time.

Long story short, I very much hope the ones that bought one before can forgive me for raising the number of Mabels sold to 65 instead of the 45 I sold now (still very limited, just a tad less so)... :)cussing: can be done on the pm ;) )

So 20 more Mabels to be sold, first come first served for 4,5 euro each + shipping and handling (which is to cost, no more)

That\'s great news!

I take one.
If you will be at Crisis in Antwerp this year I could pick her up in person and save on the shipping :)

I\'ll drop you a PM.

Never seen that little girl before. Great stuff. I have sent you a PM. Hopefully they aren\'t all sold yet. :)

The last ones were sold. I send all the ones requesting one a PM. So unless one of the ones ordering her cancles... I\'m clean out of Mabels.

Pity I missed her second time around.
She\'s a joy to paint, simple clean lines and sculpting, with a hint of subtle mischief.

Mind you that could describe Cindy as well. :D

I\'m afraid that I can put you on the backup-list but it will be rather useless by now. The list of people requesting to sell them one if one of the sales fall through is already so long there is no way I\'m ever gonna fill that even half, if at all.

I\'m still in shock ;)

Note to self: get the wizard kids sculpted damned... get a move on... this seems promissing

(now if someone could give me a handy caster for my birthday it will all go like a rocket ;) (lack of caster or costs and fuzz involved due to not having one in my own country is the main reason it never took off yet.)

There will be a Mabel revamp (resculpt, different pose, more frogs and things like that... not a conversion of the present one)... but it\'s unsure when that will be cast (Eric is still uncast too)... see rant about caster-lack. There are about 5 other ideas stuck in my head for wizardkids of differnt kinds and a load more for figures on the side in the same style (monsters, familiars and such)... but again, when ... I don\'t dare give any estimates.

Well 2,5 hours really ;) (I must be loved and known in the community :D ;) )
I thought about it (thought about it sooner as the first 45 took about 4 days). But the ones I sold them to bought them with in their minds it was a limited. I already flexed that a tad by casting 20 more (or accidentally having had 20 more cast by the caster by mistake and send). So making it a large batch just doesn\'t seem fair. Besides only one place in the mould is mine. So spinning the whole thing will wear out the mould quickly (as it\'s just a master) and is not done for the one who owns the rest of it... and will make it way to expensive too just to spin it for 1 fig each spin.
And making a productionmould will be a problem too, 2 reasons... the limited number advertising... and I sold all the masters save 2 for myself ;)

BUT I learned there is a market for it. I am looking into getting a line of stuff like these of the ground even if it will be a very very small enterprice (small quantities, one woman show in spare time... all that jazz). Eric will be among the lin and I am at the moment sculpting another. A lesson learned... They won\'t be limited anymore. Oke no huge numbers due to the nature of the bussiness... but I won\'t put a cap on it and leave room for recasts.

Oh and I do plan a Mabel revamp to fit the proportions and size of Eric and the rest of that line (which is still a free scale... about 22-26 mm high but with diffrent proportions then general 28mm (mainly bigger heads, but not as big as Mabels... more like Eric (the wizard kid with owl, not the genuine walking talking painting Eric )
