Mad Clown's painty stuff...

This thread will document my own paint jobs of my Mad Clown Miniatures casts. I'm very much a n00b painter so bear with me and please give me plenty of advise!

I will be starting with my recent release, the Puppet Monster. For those of you not familiar with him:

He's washed, cleaned up and partly assembled. I pinned the parts to a couple of corks and sat them in a butchered chocolate box ready to be undercoated:

...now he's ready for painting!

I have ideas for his base and have decided to upgrade him to a 60mm base.

I've made a start on the ground work to the torso. The entire body was undercoated with Chaos Black spray, then built up with Bronzed Flesh. I've started adding some Snakebite Leather to the shadows. I'll neaten things up a bit and add a few more colours (Bestial Brown, Bleached Bone and maybe some purple shading) before overlaying with a coat of yellow paint.

Latest progress:

Still building up the under-shading for the torso, over which I will be adding a layer of yellow to tie in with the concept art.

Doing a grand job mate. Keep the paint / brush strokes going in the same direction as the muscles / tendons go.

Thanks mate! Good advice.

I got restless and added the yellow! I'll be adding further highlighting and shading over this:

Tonight I did a little priming using the Halfords grey spray recommended to me by so many people.

I am painting an Uncle John bust (Infamy Miniatures) as well as casts of my "Evil" Clown and Creepy Mouth Monster!
