Maenas Painting Log and WIP

Okay! some days had passed and now (with your help) I am aware of what happened with the cape... Lol I didn't noticed xD
First keep in mind that I painted the armour first sooo supposedly when you paint metals you want harsh contrasts because metal is normally highly reflective (if it's polished, new, chrome, etc...) so I went that approach with the armour and continued brainlessly painting on the cape without shifting my idea of the metal and continued it on painting on the cape with high contrast as if it were metal! Silly me! hahahahaha
That's because when I am painting I don't think much, I just go on with the "flow". I just plan ahead if I want something blue because of it being almost opposite on the wheel to an orange brown, but I do not think more about it once I start painting....
So now I have a fisically soft undulated cape that looks like a pleated (stripes) cape!! without me intending to do so!! So quite of a happy accident because I like how it looks, but it provokes what some of you pointed out, it seems that there is a wrong aligning with the pattern. I could leave it just like it is or maybe I can try to widden the "light" zone of the outer "plate" so it becomes a little more aligned... I am not sure about this though...
On the freehand, I am not sure of what could I do, first things that came to mind were drawing a straight line just below the existing one. I could also repeat the somewhat palmtree foliage on in between the arches...

@Sicks: Thank you ^^ I am still learning how to paint TMM, still need a lot more practice!! I forgot to mention that there are glazes of sc75 inks all over the metals, some blue, purple and black on the shadows and some brown and blue on the lights depending of surface direction (blue if upwards, brown if downwards) but I think they are too subtle.

Further advancements and a little thing more!
Now onto the freehand! I have made a combo image to show the process, I copied Bailey's technique, I wanted to try it some time ago and though being quite a simple design I thought it was the perfect moment to try it!

On these last days I also finished the miniature, adding a golden "ribbon" on some places has given a lot more life to the miniature. Some blood splatter as per BAM methodology was added
Also I glazed a creamy ivory over the hair because I felt it a bit too yellow. (still fighting with the yellow=blonde cliché) Oh and sorry again because the pic is a bit burned. And worked over the gloves, boots and belt with a lot of browns, creams and purples. Hope you like it! ^^

I would like to put some more work onto the gallery, but I would like to correct those burned skin/white/bright colours so in the following weeks when I figure how to do it I will make a post with a couple of gallery links.
And now I see that I forgot to put up the little thing mentioned on the title of the post... I should correct that!! But tomorrow we are going to Düsseldorf because Sandra has an Irish dancing championship!!
