Well in fact... go please, to the gallery and watch it there and vote also if you are in the mood ^^

Also the strange reddish plant is a group of bristles from an old shoe-polisher brush with an addition of a catkin from an unknown plant that I gathered on a park.

Why did you stop uploading pictures to your gallery?
I took advantage of the photosetup* for treebeard and took some pics from other works, more to come on following days!

*Photosetup here stands for a 70x100 piece of grey cardboard paper fixed with tape on the same desk that I use to paint and type these lines

I am loving those A.Q. chibis! The Diva's gear almost looks like Gary Oldman's red armor from 'Bram Stoker's Dracula' (a strange movie I love).
And you may have sold another box of Bloodbowl... grrr...

Thank you Toad ^^
Now that you mention it, she definitely has some reminiscences to that armour.. by the way that one is also one of my favourite vampire movies, alongside with interview with the vampire, Dracula untold, and The lost boys
The BB team is from black scorpion, as for the game, it's one of the best GW has ever published, and has inspired a lot of other football games. It is quite cheap compared to other brands (25 UK pounds for 11 miniatures) but almost all the miniatures had sculpting/casting/molding minor errors. :(

Thank you both!

I haven't advanced anything these last days because I have been playing League of Legends. Shame on me. ;(

The only thing I have been doing is in between games and meanwhile games were charging... I cleaned and filed Joan of Arch from Infinity game, the one that came with the book from Angel Giraldez, since @pariahrob and @Persifal works tempted me enough to try my hand at the AG method that came explained on the book...

Having a WIP thread works...

I felt a bit ashamed about not posting since new year, so it forced me to start to paint a miniature instead of playing League Of Legends, so a part from all the good advice, feedback, nice people and all the benefits, having a wip on here can cause you to work and paint a little more ;)

So yesterday I started painting the Troll from Arcadia Quest, pictures will follow soon, meanwhile....

I stumbled upon an italian guy on youtube, he does realistic paintings in time lapse videos. It is terrific and very inspiring!

There are a lot of videos of this man, including a NMM Gold C3PO and some other awesome drawings... I thought you may find it interesting!

Troll aproaching!

W T F!!! How is that even possible!!!!!!
That was exactly my thoughts too... it's incredible to see how the 2D drawing gets to 3D in no time at all and amongst it with NMM!! It's truly amazing.

Finally updates with miniatures and paint on them! xP

Adding Vallejo Plastic putty and "sculpting" it with a brush to shape up a nice strip for the bones sack.

Trying a new brush a "Da vinci Maestro" of which I also heard nice things. It is in fact longer than the windsor and newton, and it feels different to the contact with the miniature, still don't know how to express the difference.
Actually I paint mostly with the W&N, they have become my favourites over this last year, their fame is very well earned! The Escoda Optimo ones, now I mainly use for mixing and harder works as they are inferior in quality (this hurts because they are made in my own city) when they were new they could compete but they had lost the point quite fast!

First Shadows, highlights and eyes. Done with the colours behind. First left is Birch (pale bone) and second left is violet ink.

A little more work, eyes painted, and added some rough drawn texture on the bone sack.

And just as it is now, I tried to add more interest to the face adding a shift to orange, so I first pushed in some pinks and whites and then glazed back with yellow+red inks. Not sure of which of both stages I like most! ^^'
Since whites offered such a nice contrast!

WOW, that video is awesome. Nice progress on the red guy as well. The oranges in the face re a good addition.

That goblin(?) is looking mighty fierce! Love the eyes. The orange looks good, brings out the facial features and makes it pop a little more.
