Magic Sauce... Not so magic.

I purchased black and brown Kel\'s Magic Sauce. Thus far i\'m totally unimpressed with the quality of black wash that this puts on the models. It doesn\'t sit in the recesses and the color is inconsistent.

Anyone else used this stuff and had any better luck?

Are there limited applications for this stuff, a little help would be nice. ???

I prefer Tamaya Smoke or Vellajo Smoke.
They are a bit different from each other, but serve similar functions.

Further review shows that most people are using it with 15mm models and that those using it on 25mm+ stuff are using it as a colored paint additive.

Still curious if anyone has actually used it with success.

I\'ve used Kel\'s Magic Sauce.

It\'s acceptable for its stated purpose (give it a really good shake), but you can get cheaper and better results with a 1:4:4 mix of Reaper MSP Brown Liner, Matte Medium, and water.

I\'ve always had good results with the future:water:black paint mixture for filling recesses, so I have never tried any of the commercial options.

My usual mix is 10 drop future:10 drops water:1 drop paint and then adjust from there.

Thanks for the info, i\'m going to try adding a little more pigment to the Kel\'s and see if it helps... i hate to buy something and then just bin it.
