its a very Egyptian style of sculpt i think if you go with the kind of paint schemes the Egyptians did you wont go far wrong looking great so far. this might help

looks like a really cool conversion! nice idea, however i think keeping with a egyptian style, dusty gold would come out rather plain. i´d rather go with a red gold and a complementing green colour for the sarkophogus. this would also be easy to bind together with a red or dark green tail. are you planning to go nmm or tmm?

ps. seems we´ll be battling in the same category, exciting;) ds.

im trying nmm. i was thinking of reds but i didnt want to go with the pre heresy thousand son colours and i work better with blues anyway.
thanks for the picture cassar, theres a realy nice blue there

FIRST thing i noticed about your pic is that your a dad due to the Cow and Gate milk

Its a sweet mini, can you tell me what models you used to convert as i am 1k sons fantatic. Im doing a pre heresy army and that would look good leading them ( i say pre heresy more pre Rubric of Ahriman)

Keep up the good work

EDIT: or mum!!

work is the easy part of the day rofl. 26 man you started earyler than me i was 31 yeasterday. im cool with you useing it, there was a lot of cutting and fileing to get things to fit.

Cheers.

Yeah we did start early. But by the time i am 40 i will have free time again! lol

I work with kids too so days filled with em.

I would offer advice but i am useless painting. Saying that if the face/skin is going to be flesh a nice tanned colour would be nice.

I like the top half.....I'm not keen on the bottom. Only because this does not fit with Magnus the Red as a Deamon Primarch, the snake look is that more akinned to Slannesh rather than Tzeentch. To be honest he looks a lot like Fulgrim the Deamon Prince as below:

Depends if you are looking to follow the fluff though. The two kits merge really well.

As for colours Magnus is said to have red/coppery coloured skin.

I'm going to be biased and say this would totally rock if you used the Pearl Ex pigments to get the metallic armor. You could get those dusty colors where you need them and snapping bright armor where you need that.

Ah well, maybe someday I'll get to see something like that. ;)

well, if you´re going with the blues, my best tip is to give the gold a orange tinge, to bind the whole thing together. the gd jury seems to like comeplementary coulours=) again, a really cool idea!
