Maj\'s new project. Toxic girl with diorama.

Hi all, I hope you are well. My latest project includes a great mini - Toxic Girl by Fatal Personality. I must say this is an absolutely fantastic mini and I think there are only 250 in circulation so I am very proud to have one. Let\'s hope I do it justice!!! As always comments and criticism most welcome. Things I plan to do with this :
1 - build some newspaper type things to scatter on pavement. Any ideas as to how? I was thinking maybe just use paper that has been \"cooked\" so is brown and curled.
2 - Have a notice board on the building wall with various \"MISSING PERSONS\" pleas etc.
3 - A variety of doomy and gloomy graffiti pieces - \"NO MUTANTS\" being one I came up with! \"THE END IS NEAR\" etc etc, I really want to capture a post apocalyptic/WW3 atmosphere with this diorama.
Any other ideas will be greatly appreciated. I have some pics (sorry about the quality, I will post better ones when I have done some more work).

for newspaper, try tinfoil, you can curl the edges up then. cooked paper may be too frail and brittle

i love that mini, i really should get round to painting one of mine

I love the flowing water look - and the graffiti and stuff sounds like it will be really cool - I\'m just a little concerned at the moment that there could be too much empty space in the scene and the focus would be on the wall - not the lovely mini! Not sure if you\'re putting any other models into the scene.

actually looking at the stuff coming out of the hydrant, i would make the flow smaller at the top, to make it look like it is coming out of a smaller bore pipe

Hi, thanks for your responses. Freakinacage you are a great helper! You always try and help out - so cheers mate! I have just cut down the toxic spludge spurt a little bit (try saying that after a few bevvies). With regards to what boristfrog said, I will need to examine the empty space, maybe I should put a destroyed road sign or lampost in. I was not planning on adding any other mini\'s you see. will have a think about this, any ideas will be appreciated. I will post again tomorrow. Cheers!:D

Hi all, a quick update. I have adjusted the colour/dimensions of the sludge stuff and have added some graffiti. Let me know what you think, I have more to do yet though.....I have almost finished Toxic Girl, but I will not post any more pictures of her until I am done with her. That\'s because I have almost finished her lol!

Oh, by the way, that orange text says 91/250 - I have mini number 91 you see........

Matty thinks this diorama has far to much space, and could probably have been half the size (probably less infact) and still got all the elements in. He also thinks the orange and the cat on the wall is too bright and distracting attention away from the mini.
But saying that he did say the model is neatly painted and the idea behind the thing is pretty decent.

Peace and love...

An idea for newspapers is to use cigarette paper, when they\'re rolled or folded they don\'t \'bulk up\' and look odd. Think you\'ll have to spray them with a fixative, so the ink won\'t run though (this is one of dear old Stan Catchpole\'s tips)

rofl. actually i quite like the cat, not sure why. another thing noticed, the texture on the wall seems too much. try textured masonry paint, it\'s much finer and acts as a tough primer too

Maj is very happy to receive the comments regarding this piece. He appreciates what Matty1001 had said about there being too much space lol. Overall I am quite pleased with how this came out and was hoping I might get a higher average than 6.8 lol. On to the next project for me! Thanks all!
