Course where I\'m at now, water is a cure all - :D

Yep I\'ve been doing that trick for years. It does work.

BTW...I think my Father-in-law graduated from SWTSU....

I remember those days of drinking a thousand gallons of water before bed in the hopes of avoiding a hangover. Now I just never sober up :p

I don\'t even need to drink to have a headache.
And I need 6 aspirins to get rid of it ( 3 now and then 3 1h. later.)

:D

:(Ouch

Mate I don\'t know the strength of the aspirin you are taking, but only take the recommended dosage. Non steroidals like Aspirin can cause alot of problems.

As for all those people who are looking for a hangover cure, take a rehydration therapy such as Dioralyte. Lots of fluid and all the electrolytes you need!

The only 2 hangover cures I know that work are not drinking or staying drunk. On the plus now that Ive given up smoking my hangovers are only half as bad.

Oops, I did it again! This time I topped it all off with a lamb pathia in the local curry house with a couple of mates, and it did the trick. Still, rehydration is only just beginning.

I don\'t have any really good hangover cures. Other than don\'t overdrink in the first place, but no one really does that.

I have some preemptive cures (after drinking and before going to sleep) that sometimes seem to help me. A quick google has given me a good quote to base my unscientific wisdom on.

A hangover is caused by a combination of the toxic by-product of alcohol metabolism (acetaldehyde), dehydration, and Vitamin A, B (particularly B6) and C depletion caused by the chemical action of alcohol on your system. The symptoms are usually a dry mouth, nausea, fatigue, dizziness and headache and are caused by a combination of these factors.

For me plenty of water and a nice high dose of vitamin B complex does the trick. I normally take a multi-vitamin and a baby asprin at night and an extra vitamin B complex pill. The web page I looked at for the quote also suggests the power of cheese, \"Pizza or pasta is usually best since cheese and carbohydrates are a good source of amino acids. Actually food is a good idea all round - before, during and immediately after drinking. Food doesn\'t absorb alcohol, but it does increase metabolism, activates alcohol absorption, and increases the speed with which the body processes alcohol.\"
