Make-your-own?

Yeah...I've been thinking and pondering a bit, and is SORTA on the verge of
deciding to try and make my own stuff, partially...so, does anyone know
of a good tutorial in making silicon molds, and resin casting? Something for
someone with a COMPLETE lack of knowledge beyond, more or less, those
words? :)

I got this and it worked super good:

I made some resin bases that I was very happy with. the kit comes with a 2-part pourable silicon which cures very flexible for the mold and 2 part pourable resin. I only made one part molds but you can make two part molds with the kit.

I am sure you can get the same materials some where for cheaper but the kit really holds your hand which I think is worth the cost of a forge world pre-heresy shoulder pad :)

Here is a picture of my resin bases.

They are certainly not amazing but this will give you an idea of the amount of detail you can get with a one part mold.
