Making huskies

I was thinking of making a load of huskies to perhaps pull a sledge along. I was thinking of using GW goblin riders wolves, and I was wondering if I can order them of GW, because last time I checked I couldn\'t.
Also, what kind of modifications would I have to do to the model?

I\'d do a quick google search for the differences... I\'m not sure myself, but I imagine there would be some differences in things like paw size, muzzle lenght, etc

As for colour, huskies (As far as I know) tend to be white with grey or brown patches.

Huskies have a slight kink in their tails unlike wolves. They\'re also kind of fluffy, and not evil, and are not really humans in the day.
To green stuff- I meant plastic ones, its probably easier and cheaper. I want to be making a fair few of these dudes. I might just have to buy the whole goblin wolf riders set. Maybe I can look on trading post instead....

Wolves aren\'t evil :p
They are just made to be evil in silly kids stories. Neither are sharks or any other animal that can harm humans.

More people die from hippos than either of these, and then probably bears - but neither of them have an evil reputation!!

So unfair :/ OK - rant over :p

I did not know huskies had a kink in their tails though... How do you mean...?

Bah! I thought you were on about broads!
I\'m off...in a huff.

And use wolves, close relatives painted different...maybe a bit of green stuff.

*Edit* Hippos hold the devils favour. One eyeballed me in a safari park! It seemed to say \"When I get outta here, you\'re first!\"...Crapped myself I did! Eeeeeevil!

It is curly, like this:

The closest thing I would recommend is these guys:

Components available here... but they are metal and not that cheap.

Those elf dogs look more like Irish wolfhounds to me Penguin ol matey :/

But they might be better than wolfriders... I dunno...

But I guess if you just manage to half-melt or resculpt the tails into that cool bend theyll look accurate enough :)

Yup, I think they were based on bloodhounds. They seem a more realistic size for huskies though

The GW US online store has the plastic wolves from the goblin wolf rider box available for bitz order -- perhaps you could call up Mail Order and request it by part number, or the exchange rate might even make it feasible to order from the US store despite the shipping charge:

I knew I saw a Husky mini somewhere. Try this link to Pulp Figures, they make a pack of figs called Yukon Peril that comes with a single Husky:(
Maybe you can contact them and inquire aboutt he possibility of a bit order for a couple of the buggers.

Yeah but hippos are evil!
@philologus- Any chance of a better picture or a painted one?
@thecadian- I was thinking of perhaps a diorama, with some kislev guys in a sledge pulled by huskies. Maybe being ambushed by a pack of yhetees.
