you need to work your highlights and shadows more to create greater contrast.

the lighting is quite poor as well, better pics (and bigger ones) will allow people to see the model better and give much more helpfull critisism.

have a look through some of the top painters galleries and study what they have done.
for example, bragon, banshee, automaton just to mention a few.

Try breaking up the colors a bit. May be the pics but all I see are grays and yellows. Try adding in golds, greens and more reds in small areas such as the belt buckle, sword hilt, trim, etc. Sa G. said, more contrast.

This is a fairly solid mini - well deserving of it\'s current score (I gave it a 7).

To break the 8 barrier takes some really good painting and photo work. Go one wide in the pics and at about the same width you have there and you\'ll effectively double the size of the mini we can see to vote on.

Another thing is subject. I\'ve seen and voted on thousands of SM\'s. Very hard to get excited about them without massive amounts of conversion. The newest stuff tends to get the best scores as we\'ve not seen 100\'s of them.
