I just wanted to start a thread to let everyone (especially lurkers) know how great it is here. I\'m a member of more forums than I can begin to count, but this is where I feel most at home. Which, considering my abilities, is rather amazing.
I\'ve received a great deal of help here and have found everyone here more than willing to offer support. The entire spectrum of talent is covered here. I\'ve seen some work here that is far beyond anything I could ever hope to achieve. Even so I\'ve never felt intimidated by those who are far better than me. They have their talent, I have mine. I can only hope they will continue to entertain my submissions and offer help.
My painting talent (or lack of) has significant room for improvement, but I\'m pleased with my work.Today, I finally acquired enough votes to be ranked. I\'m a whopping 2776 out of 3555. You want to know what\'s funny about that ranking? I\'m proud of it. It\'s not great, but it\'s not bad either.
So what\'s my point? If you\'re lurking then stop. Jump on this train and let us know you\'re there.
Keep an eye out for my next mini, it\'s a Rackam. I was afraid to do one from them because they\'re so awesome and I knew I could never do it justice. But, fortunately for me, they don\'t check your portfolio before they sell to you. Also I plan on entering the Alexi-Z Challenge. I\'m out of the country at the moment but hopefully the mini will be waiting for me when I get back.
