Ok, so here is a marauder that I am doing for my army. Scott asked me to do a WIP so here it is. I am really happy with the way the skin turned out up to now. If you want to know the recipe let me know. He is going to be devotee of Khorne that\'s why the skin is slightly reddish. I hope you like him.

You are a god send. I am going to start painting some marauders and have not been able to find alot of minis for reference so seeing this is encouraging. Great work! The skin looks great!

That is alot of layers... but the effect looks great. Keep it up!

Wow, what an improvement since the night goblins. Great work, the felsh is very, very impressive.

My first concern is.... for a tabletop army, do you want to commit that many hours into each RnF model? The work is great and you can really see how excellent they are I just want to make sure you remember you gotta paint a BUNCH of these guys!

Second, the flesd is really great. One thing I would throw at you is about highlighting all the flesh equally. Right now the highlights are equal on the big light catching areas like the arms and shoulders, but the ab\'s could be a little less highlighted to represent the fact they are in a little more shadow. JBT talks and illiustrates that in his DvD on a model that\'s a tad hunched over. Just a thought.

Thanks for putting up the WIP thread. I\'ve found doing one of these to be extremely helpful. You can get/give a lot of insight into not only the results but also the process of painting.

Thanks again!

Thanks for the idea of highlighting the abs less, I\'ll keep that in mind for the next guy I do. About the amount of time that it takes: this bit took roughly 1 hour but as I do more I think I\'ll be able to finish the whole skin in about 1 and half hours and the rest of it in the same time, so 3 hours total per model. I think that is a reasonable amount of time for a good tabletop paint job :)
