After a long break from painting, I have finally finished something! This is a potential entry for Golden Demon this year.

After looking at the pictures, the gems appear to not have as much depth as in real life, I assume this is from the light reflecting off of the gloss varnish.

Great technical execution, and I like the muted palette effect. The blues actually look quite vivid compared to everything around it. Nicely done!

The only criticism I would have is that nothing in the mini draws the eye. It\'s all extremely well painted, but maybe something could have been done to draw the viewer to the face, or some other focal point.

Thanks for the comments! :)

@HakoMike, I agree with you. The colors are all pretty muted, and it doesnt really draw the eye anywhere in particular. Perhaps I will highlight the nmm and areas surrounding the face lighter (The nmm is only up to space wolves grey at the moment.)

On this miniature I did a lot of thin glazes with purple ink, and It\'s something the camera didnt really capture. IRL the face and most other areas are a bit more colorful than in the picture.
