wow, that\'s really nice work, especially for only your 2nd sculpt. Her shoulders and arms look a touch too thin (although I realize margo is quite slim), but other than that, you did a great job recreating that photo in greens!!

Besides, I always knew margo was holding a knife back there, she can\'t be that nice! :D

Some people are born to paint.....

.....others to sculpt!lol You\'d better not be a great painter too:D Very nice work, the knife behind the back is a nice touch, both comedic and threatening! Awesome job for your second crack at it! Cheers;)

Most people may not remember this, but the pose/sculpt is creepily similar to Ameican McGee\'s Alice Fig:

Hmm? Hmmmmm? :]

Great work so far! :p

Great work, the mini is very nice and has excellent feet and hair! Critique time: I\'d add a wee bit of gs to her arms, especially the upper arms as they are very thin.

First - great sculpt. Bit more flesh to the girlie and I think you\'ll be spot on. Looks good!

As for the above, heh, I love those Alice figures, wish someone would do the line in miniature (and yes, I\'ve seen some of the attempts to date). Wife liked these toys so much she made me buy them all off Ebay.

Yeah, those Alice figures are cool, I got my bro one (Alice & cat) for his birthday a while back. Creeepy. FF, does your wife\'s Alice have the old head (normal) or the new one (\"crazy eyes\")?

She\'s got all of them.

If I remember correctly there are four different Alices. There is the normal version. Japanese Anime Eyes version. Bloody Alice and cat version and the Glow in the Dark Version.

Then of course there are all the critters, cards .. etc. I spent about five months on EBAY picking up everything as she went ape over them. They now take up a considerable part of our (her) closet though forbid anything should I hint that they could go elsewhere.

:D

Great sculpt!

I really like it! Hard to believe this is only your second attempt at a 54 mm, it\'s very good! Although I have to agree with the rest, arms and shoulders are too thin -- even for me :) Oh, and I like the knife a lot!

Sorry Chrispy. I don\'t see the connection.

The sculpt is really good though. Isn\'t there guys out there who would cast it for you? Maybe we should all put in and try to get them cast. Imagine the coolness of that.;)

Like the body lots. I don\'t think it\'s too thin, just not in proportion to the head. Head too big or body too small. I think Margo\'s face is a bit more squarish, more cheekbones, but it\'s a great job anyone familiar with the photo would recognize. And for only a 2nd sculpt I\'m stunned.

thanks guys for the warm praise. I would very much like to see this mini cast. however i know nothing about it and don\'t have the space at home to work with casting :(

BUT......if anybody would like to have a go at casting her or thinks they could do it then please let me know and i\'ll send you the green.

@Margo: sorry about the arms, and the face is not too great a likeness either. oh well more practice!

PM mee if you have a suggestion about casting. i\'d love to get a few copies to share around and one to paint for myself!

Yeah, why so similar? In fact the two look almost identical! It\'s female, got two arms, two legs, and a head.

Oh and by the way. Great work Medved for a second attempt at sculpting! Ok, so it isn\'t perfect, but there\'s definately talent bubbling under there. Especially in the dynamics of the pose.

A few more sculpts and you\'ll be able to start your own mini line!

Hi,

sculpting is quite nice and I don\'t have too much too add since most remarks have already been made. One thing though, there are some areas in the dress that are lumpy or uneven. I\'d try to rework them. If you have some real fine sandpaper (grit 2000 or micromesh) you can smooth the surface.

Bye, Ming-Hua
