Marine on marine action!

Okies, had a odd thought at work today. And this is it, Who is badder assed? A 40k Space Marine (puritan genetically enhanced warrior) or a Terran Marine (a criminal minded genetically enhanced warrior) from Starcraft. Who would win in a one on one fight. Who\'s tech is more advanced (both biological and mechanical). Etc., etc., etc. Ah the price one pays playing Dawn of War and waiting on StarCraft 2.

Never played Starcraft, or DoW for that matter, so I can\'t answer that. But maybe a Pirate Ninja Space Marine who works as a Lumberjack on the side would beat them both.

That\'s the kind of joke my dad would make. The really depressing thing is it made me chuckle. I may be getting old, or we may both be as sad as each other.

Aren\'t Space Marines basically walking tanks? With the willpower and strength to keep fighting even if both their legs are blown off? At any rate, without having an objective comparison of body sizes, armour toughness etc, this is like saying \"are turbolasers more powerful than phasers\"?

A starcraft marine is (in the game) hardly more than cannon fodder.

On a side note, who would win zerg or tyranids?

While I feel that the Imperial Marines have the edge in Armor and weaponry, I think the Terran Marines would win in the end cause the IM would be too busy trying not to trip over all the crap hanging from their armor.

Terran Marines would at least have an easier time aiming at the Space Marines, since SMs like to wear big \'shoot-me\' banners above their heads.

Also, you would think that if Space Marines had the strength and willpower to keep fighting after both legs are blown off they\'d get more than one wound...
