Today marks the Seventieth Anniversary of Operation Market Garden, the airborne attempt to capture the bridges up to and including Arnhem.
History gives us insight into what went wrong, but it was nevertheless a brave endeavour.
I've watched a lot of the History Channels programmes about this and it struck me that the men on both sides who were locked into that conflict and who have met up so many years on show a better respect for each other than most people.
