Masked Man and a Lady

These Lance & Laser figures would look lovely on a wedding cake ... assuming the cake was the size of an over sized cupcake, but I digress. Here is the VOTE link.

Since I am a member of the Knights of Columbus, I painted the cape in the style of the KoC Honor Guard with the white color of my position as a \"past\" Faithful Navigator. White silk on the inside and black fabric on the outside. In our case, we tend to tie the cape at the back to expose the colored interior, but this allows him to blend in the shadows and then make a brilliant presentation.

The ladies ringlets look very nice at the back there.

I think you may need to put another layer or two on the mans cloak (the black side) to even it up a bit, as it looks like there is some thinner areas than others?

Nice minis. I like the woman more than the man, seems cleaner. Especially the white dress looks very good.

I think your painting has improved. You have a good clean base on which to work with here. I think black or brownlining would help give some easy contrast.

Did someone mention cupcakes?

No it\'s not a question of thin, the black highlight color is a bit too bright and I need a few layers to tone it down. (Apparently I\'m also getting a \"mud\" effect with the blacks.)

It\'s the whites that really impress me. I have three different whites, a white, an eggshel white and an ivory (used only in trim). You really can\'t tell that there are different whites until you realize that you can clearly see the \"white\" bow and fan in front of the white dress without the aid of blacklining.
