I agree with the comments on the axe however, the nmm is good, but just in the wrong place, if the light is coming from above, there should be a highlight on the top half and just on the shaft, the bottom blade shoud be dull with a subtle highlight to the edge,

This is a really nice mini and will look awsome once completed, where is it from and can i still by it?????

well, about the reflection on the axe, I just wanted to do SENMM for practice and this mini is a reaper figure from the warlord game.

ok, so today I got bored and re-painted the axe and did the axe arm up to the shoulderpad.

Ok, here\'s another update. I finished this guy\'s belt and I have noticed a style change in which I paint gold, it\'s becoming whiter on the top areas and the hot points and becoming darker too so I think my technique is improving somewhat. Post comments so i can see what you guys think.

Love the effect you are getting with the gold, and the mail armour is very nice indeed.

Looking exellent, he steely metal looks too blue for my taste personaly. It\'s eally nicely done though

Nice! You need to highlight the top of the axe plate and the trim around it. the parts that hit the light source dead on will be the brightest.

another update, im almost finished!!:flip::bouncy:

i realized i got a little close with these pics but i think this will be great once I finish. i\'m not quite sure if I should do anything more with the fur cape but i will go back and paint the claws though. Also, Im not sure what colors to paint the hair and fur though. Comments are welcome as usual.

Ok, the dwarf is finished and all that is left is to finish small parts of the base.this will probably be going to Owlcon in february if I can\'t get an entry to replace this one. Comments and criticisim are welcome.

The dwarf itself looks good, nice face and like the color choice. But not a big fan of the base though, the water looks a bit to blue and the rock just looks like a random rock grabed and placed on the base,.

thanks for the comments/feedback guys. What i found out today about Zap a gap superglue and clump foliage is that they don\'t mixlol when the superglue cures in clump foliage, it starts to smoke a little so if you are using clump foliage, use white glue.
