2 New Knights are ready.

Based on the picture some touchups/changes are needed (especially on the flag), but overall I like how they look.

If you find anything that should be changed / fixed, please tell. I'll try to do them too tomorrow.

edit: ohh, forgot to mention another figure has arrived. This one is prepainted:
disney showcase rapunzel

They look great Max! I really like how the red is turning out - very rich. The only thing I could suggest and it's minor and possibly preference, is more highlights at the tips of the Knights blue fur on top of their helmets. I just usually prefer when the color transition changes the whole color of things like that instead of just highlights while keeping the blue mid-tones - but like I said, preference.

That's the first thing I saw too. Although I was thinking I would have done a little purple wash to darken the shadows. Very minor.

a little something different: a hasslefree diorama plan.

View attachment 28318

What's planned:
- in the corner is the entrance of an underground shelter
- in the front-middle, those circles are places for tubes with some green goo, flowing out
- the wall under the fence will be higher, but until I glue it I didn't want to build all the way up (instead of 2 lines of bricks, it should have about 5)
- on the left side of the pic, the blue-tac should be replaces with sandpaper (for concrete)
- at the back there is some rubble (thrown away grenades, packs, brick parts, etc)
- sidewalk stones will be demolished here and there (also with halfs they'll go to the edges.

The questions are:
- do I need the balsawood parts? If yes, then are the about in a good position for a good composition?
- is the edge of the sidewalk needed?
- same for the missile: needed? If yes, then where and how it is placed now?
- What else is needed / what is not needed for a good looking scene?

btw, no no worries, I plan the finishing with earth/sand and painting for a painting jam that'll be in Hungary at the end of the month. If everything goes as planned the Alahan will be ready by then.

Some Alahan progress:

- I decided to paint the weapons black again and highlight with an airbrush. I have no love for blending them for hours.
- I'll need to do something about the putty under the riders... They've never sat rightly, so it was needed to attach them to the horses, but the blob doesn't look good.

- if you look at it there is a 7th, extra rider there: I got the horse + body for 3 euros, the missing right arm was replaced with an ophidian sword :)

- on the right side you see one of the falconers, mostly finished (sword to be airbrushed today).

Maxx, I hate to say it, but what about one more lighter shade on the red?

The horse manes and the rocks one the base are really popping out to me... maybe it's the white background in this last photo.

Demihuman: don't know... I wanted to do a dark-red armor, so I don't really want to overhighlight it to orange/pinkish colors. Also the white base + photo from top doesn't help either.

Anyway the finished part 1 of them. What's done since last pic: all the falconers and the weapons (they were black/grey/badly blended in the last picture)

now according to rules I'd need to add either a monster or artillery. No real plan which one I should do.
After those are ready I'll fix Mirvilis and correct / tweak the other models.

And for the painting jam, the hasslefree diorama parts + a JMD bust.

Progress on the Bust from last picture.

The camera's flash took out the darker shades from the face, but is more or less ok.

Originally I wanted to take it to a painting-jam, but I had time and it was on the desk, so ... paint time :)

I consider it more or less finished (I'll varnish it after looking more at the picture to see painting errors and fixing them).

Tried to use the leather 'recipe' from the thread from last week, but didn't have to courage to go all so light with the colors.

Very nice looking. I thought she had a pointed chin at first but it was the shadow from the mic. Very cool bust.
