I'm back from the painting jam.
It was a very good and fun weekend to spend with friends and all.
Besides all the chatting, joking and generally having a great time, some paintings were archived too
A more or less ready version of the diorama.

I think I just need to add the greenish-slime to the pipes, but it you see something else too , don't hesitate to tell
And a lioness bust, where I tried to show the wet-in-wet I learned in Jarhead's Workshop.
With a few glazes and such after that.

I like how it looks like more or less, but I feel I'm missing something and I don't really know what. It just feels unfinished.
Is it the eyes? something in the fur? please help. It feels off, but can't figure out why.

love the Dio, the base is awesome.
I was going to say the ears look wrong, but after a quick google the shape is right, I think they look a bit flat, try putting some depth into them. It could also be the eyes, they need to be yellow with black around them. I think the fur is wonderful. If your going to go crazy put some dots on for the look of whiskers.

I've done not much with those 2.
- for the hasslefree diorama: I added the greenish water and some pigments. Not much almost invisible.
- the lion: darkened the inner ears to make them stand out more, repainted the eye to have a smaller iris (like on the picture, not big puppy-eyes like on the wip ) and tried some dark dots for the whiskers. I'm pretty sure I messed at least the last up.
also I wanted to practice metals a bit, so here I present Aurora from Warmachine:

Originally I wanted to do the skin too with metallics, but... it's just such a nice contrast of having normal skin with all that metal, so I stayed with the official color scheme.
And this will be a PITA to photo correctly even compared to any other minis that I tried (and failed) to photo.
The stong jump to a light matt color is the Vallejo-Verdigris-glaze... looks like I'll have to smooth that transition a bit.

and I must admit: more than 1 old watch was harmed in making the base (+gathering extra parts for the future)

finally, after quite a long wait I got the scale75-indiegogo figure.
Started with the simpler modell, Kitty Reimer. This is how it looks so far (sorry for the blurry pic, tried the ISO800 setting as that looked about best from the images I wanted to take):

What I'd need now are critiques / help with the skin (rest is just a basecoat).
I just started with the stocking, so what I'm mostly interested are the: tights, bust, face.
What should I improve, change? Does it need makeup? If yes what color would you suggest, etc, etc, etc.
And to be honest I'd love input on this from Milosh He already painted this mini and paints a LOT of 54mm+ girls, so he has experience with this.

I'm no pro on skin, my humble opinion is a little make up turquoise maybe for the eyes a little red on the cheeks. You should be happy about the wait, my kickstarter scale games Brock and sharg have only just gone into production. Such as, life at least they will arrive by September.

well I'm still 'waiting' for the Relic Knight one... (no info yet on the eu shipping, I think it will be by boat and not plane. The difference in time attributed to packing) and no idea how long I'll have to wait for any replacements...
then to wait:
- helldorado KS. Still one blister missing NinjaDiv (Cypher to be more exact) doesn't care, not even a reply to my inquiries.
- Robotech... no comment
- Kingdom Death: this is the only where despite the delay I'm not concerned and like what I see in the updates.
and of course 2 more... but here the delay is minor / none, so it's only wait, not 'wait because of lots of delays':

no progress with Kitty, but I've got 2 excuses
1. today it was 35C (95F), not really ideal for anything
2. I wrote a 'tutorial' on my blog about how I usually paint female faces. http://ma5xfestesek.blogspot.de/2014/07/noi-arc-festese.html (It's in hungarian, so you can only see the shitty images I can do.. , the only that may be interesting to most of you is seeing the colors used )
