Hmm looks like I'll have some free time painting this month.

Interview about the job was more or less successful. They liked it, but the project doesn't start until april... so unless I find something else I'll have a whole month free to upkeep my programming knowledge (via excercise, private project) and paint.

normally I'm a freelance developer with Oracle(sql, bpel mostly), some web(JS, jquery, etc), but mostly just Java(EE,Hibernate, etc etc etc). Usually at bigger companies (Telekom, Siemens, Banks).

Most of the time I's like: go there, learn the system fast, do the development, leave. The whole is done in 6-12 months, then search for a new project at another company (this is where I'm at now).

altough I have an entry in the shades of grey I wanted to paint another one.
And what better as a Harlquin :)

The progress so far (base is more or less done, started patterning the legs and blocked in the rest on the body):

Some progress as I fight with my biggest enemy: freehand.
Also some progress on the armor and stuff. Basically what remains are the weapons + complete back of the cloak + some tech bits that I have no idea what they are.
Obviously it's a badly shot WIP pic. The inner cloak if painted black, here it looks simply grey.

And a fun pic (see number of voted pics :) ) Of course for the next few weeks I'll probably get the popups telling me I got +10 points for voting on 100 pictures.

altough not activated yet the harlequin is finished: http://www.coolminiornot.com/375390
Hope you'll like it (even managed to straighten the sword more or less).

And some inbetween figures, the start of a small force of Vile-Tis (similar to the Alahan from last year):

but atm I started painting Tinkerbell from Kabuki minis. I decided to paint it mostly skin (see-through clothes).
For some reason it doesn't want to progress.

Fantastic Harlequin, great checkers and tones. wolfen look tidy too. It seems every one has to paint at least one of these in the process painting.

Thanks for the comments, both here and under the pic.

Nope they are not really good. Evidenced by, that the average was at 4.0 at the beginning from registered members. Something must have been off. So if the person(s) read this: could you please give advice how I could make it better? To reach... I don't know an average level of 5 ? I really need tips and pointers what parts should I rework and how (colors, techniquest, contrast, light placement, I don't know).

and going off topic(and the main reason for this entry) here :
I hope you people like granatapple as much as I do. :) This is 2 of them cleaned, most likely will be tomorrow's lunch (SM is for scale only, won't be eaten :D ):

Nah there seems to be an uptick in snipers lately. I notice my pawns were like 5 something and for like the first time ever the registered was lower than the non. Somebody has decided to be a jerk I guess. No sweat, they'll get bored soon a n move on ;) Also you should eat the space marine too. Tons of good minerals in their armour, just ask these guys...
