ok heres the story

the dude at my game store wants to try and find an out of print GW OLLLLLD skool marauder, well at least he thinks its a GW. he said the mini came in a pack of six, but hes really only intrested in one. So he drew us a quick sketch so we could try to find it. I scanned it into the computer, and went to try and put it up on here, but alas! i couldnt find the scanned image so this one is drawn by me....i know the abouts of what the sculpt looks like, but i couldnt tell you the details. so with out further ado....this is beccas crappy rendition of the aformentioned Marauder.

i never said i was a perfect drawer...i never even said i was a GOOD drawer....i never even said i could draw at all...thats actually like the best drawing ive ever done... lol

Ummm...I seem to recall the name \"Marauder\" on some of the old GW minis that I have. I want to say it was the older Dark Elf Corsairs, but I\'m not sure. If I remember, I\'ll check through my bits drawer when I get home.

Maybe my eyes are wonky, but on Becca\'s drawing it looks like it says \'old gin\' on the bottom of the pic!

@ sturm - well...you already did say you were drinking, neh? I think if I had been drinking I might read it as \"gin\" too. :D

@ ipaintminis - Nice! The side-by-side comparison makes it sooooo much scarier. OooOOOoo! lol

\"Marauder\" was the name of the casting company GW used to use so all of my old GW minis say \"Marauder\" on the slotta thingy, no matter what the mini is.

I think this is the first time a suspect has been bagged on only an artist rendition of him.

I think Matt Varnish, Private Eye, would be impressed, if he wasn\'t so down on his luck after that run in he had with the Russian Femme Fatale crashing the All Girl Beauty Pagent...lol

@vince - Ah...thought it might be something like that. In fact, I think I maybe heard that before but was probably too hung-over to really commit it to memory. Thanks for the info!

Really?!

I know Marauder was a sister company set up by Trish and Ally Morrison that ended up being absorbed back into GW\'s ranges.

Great Concept art, Becca! Your version is much more frightening, kinda like the Gingerbread-man having a phsychotic episode. I\'m gonna get to work on making a model of him tonight!:D

great, now I\'m going to have gingerbreadman nightmares Becca, bad girl.

Although with your concept art, I might actually be able to sculpt something like that, with my MAD sculpting skills :p
