I\'ve got OnisLair\'s address, and his minis from me will be heading out on Monday; Ifearnobeer75 has mine and has let me know he\'ll be sending mine toward the end of the week.

Seeing the haul that OrkyDave got from Lizcam -- and thinking \"Hey, I have that one... and that one...\" -- it got me curious: has anyone in a past mini exchange ever had the experience of shipping out a mini to their recipient, only to receive the same mini from their sender? I figure the odds against it would have to be pretty high... but not necessarily impossible -- it I\'d have to think it would be highly amusing, were it to happen! lol

don\'t think you have to worry, nutcrakcer was in ME12 and was flagged that time.

The original rule was actually a minimum of five posts -- but as Zap said, nutcracker was in ME12 as a FLAGGED participant and came through just fine.

So let me say again for folks that start worrying right away...

CHILL! YOU MUST CHILL! I HAVE HIDDEN YOUR KEYS!

The exchange lasts for several weeks. If you haven\'t heard from your sender within 2-3 weeks of commencement then I\'d say it\'s time to send a PM to me or ZapotekE.

This is a friendly event and only nominally rule governed.

I will also remind folks that there is always the risk that you won\'t get minis - that your partner will flake out. This happens with long time CMON members as often as it happens with new participants. Normally there are one or two people per exchange that are left a bit grumpy. I\'ve been one of those people... twice now.

It\'s all for fun. If you\'re having fun then keep coming back. If you\'re not having fun...

Well, if you\'re not having fun please don\'t plaster the forum with complaints. Send a PM to me or ZapotekE and we\'ll do our best to figure out what went wrong.

We will also be maintaining a BANNED list for future exchanges to keep track of people who do bail out of the exchange without sending minis. Hopefully that will reduce the occasional unhappiness.

Wow! I almost hate to post this now.

I got my minis!

Quite a haul and lots of really cool stuff in here. I LOVE the Werner Klocke dwarf (I\'m a bit of a dwarf nut) and the angle and there are some mech types in here that I\'ll have to experiment on (never painted one before). I promised to paint one up so I think I\'ll start with the dwarf....maybe the angle...or a snotling....crap. Too many to choose from. I\'m going to go play now!

I didn\'t have time to strip the skeleton and my wife hates it. The green army things look good enough to chop up and use as base debris - better than wasting something useful just to get a broken down wheel. The angel is one from Becca I got in my first exchange - I\'m glad you like, it was one of the few I didn\'t mind giving up. The battletech minis have been stripped too - make the most of what you can with those. I find them really hard to paint well. The little Formula De car is pretty near impossible to paint well too.

Tell me about it! The Mrs loves F1 and I have to paint the one you sent me in the last Miniexchange as whatever team it is Fisichella is driving for. Trouble is at this rate he\'ll be in a different team or retired by the time I get round to it.

I\'m pleased with everything and Mr C was going to buy one of those skeletons so now he doesn\'t have to. I think the car will go on a base as part of a Christmas Sophie. I toy that fell out of the stocking or something like that. That way if I F it up it won\'t matter so much. Thank you very much! :bouncy: :bouncy: :flip: :bouncy:

Ok, spent the tradition 10 and a half hours queueing down the post office this lunchtime but managed to get my package off to NSA. Hopefully it won\'t take too long to get to Canada (probably quicker than posting locally at the moment )

lol what\'s up with the british post office? people like to complain and whine about the swedish one but when I hear the stories people tell about yours, then ours seems to be fastest in the world in comparrison.
