Actually it went like this...

After several spending trips to the gaming store my g/f queried me about how many minis I had bought recently and if I had painted any of them.
(Enter my non-working brain -NWB-)
Me: You should see the ones I have painted!
*NWB:impress her...you should show her your painting dunge..err...room*
Me:Want to see?!
GF: Sure!
-I open the door to my office/workroom-
Scene:
Desk (barely recognizable as anything other than flat surface) Covered with projects in various stages of completion.
Shelving/drawer units, packed with minis, bitz, scenery, bits, tools, etc.
Shelves of painted minis, a table where at the time were 14 commissions in queue for completion. A table with completed commissions, and a display case of an even dozen armies.
And there were also several \"coffee\" tables with reference materials and paint pots.

Me: Come over here, I\'ll show you!
*NWB: ingore the look of terror on her face*
GF: Is all this for your commissions?
Me: Naw, most of this is mine, the stuff on the big tables is the commissioned stuff...
GF: oh...
Me: see? this is the one I bought last week, it\'s almost finished!
GF: are you ever gonna paint all these?
*NWB: WARNING !!! Trick question!!!
Me: Oh, um...er...yeah, of course!
GF: Well now that I\'m moving my stuff in you\'ll have to get some of the stuff from upstairs and keep it in here too.
Me: Yeah, sure sure
*NWB: TOO LATE!! You\'re TOAST!! :eek:
GF: How about we make it a rule?
Me: Make what a rule?
*NWB: IDIOT!! You\'re sunk!! :eek:
GF: That you don\'t get anymore until you paint the ones you have?
*NWB: OH NO!!! She\'s got that \"you better agree with me if you ever want sex again\" Look!!
Me: oh..uh...mmm...well-ll....*ahem* ???
GF: good! Ohh what are these ones called?
...and the rest is history.

Long story...but she\'s really no that bad, as long as I don\'t leave my door open.:p

I think I\'ve just about got my GF resigned to the fact that there will always be minis...... everywhere... I\'m pretty sure that there are minis in every room of our house with the exception of the bathroom. She did the whole suggesting that I finish the ones I have thing but my response was something along the lines of \"Chyyah! and monkeys might fly out of mu butt!\" :cool:



Edit: OK I lie there is a bottle on the bathroom windowsill containing minis fermenting in pinesol lol

I got a nic mixed bag of mini goodness from Springbok today..definitely some interesting things to paint and you can remove the Flag..cheers..

I have a couple thousand unpainted GW ranging from Rogue Trader to Current Plastics.
And a few hundred started (between primer and 3rd stage highlighting/shading)

so I can kind of see her point!

Amateur - I\'ve got prolly 400 lbs of lead in various stages dating back to the late 1970\'s - and two ex-wives and a current girlfriend all learned that unpainted lead does not mean more cannot be bought.

I had a two for one agreement with my wife. Every one that comes in gets into the house requires two to leave. I should be shipping mine out tomorrow.

My package is on the way to planecrazy, and I just remembered one fig I should\'ve tried to find before I sent it all off. Oops.

Anyway, just because I can, I\'m gonna post some pics of the collection. Keep in mind that I\'ve got tons of stuff elsewhere, this is just the stuff that was relatively easy to get at for photography\'s sake.

This one shows the aftermath of my searching around for models to send off... hehe it\'ll get put back together before too long, I have to sleep somewhere! You can see most of my unopened blisters on the mattress, along with some random bags of bitz and my disgustingly swollen and bloated box of Inquisitor models next to the Guitar Hero guitar on the chair.

This photo shows my LoTR/other garbage box, along with my sorted bitz. The green one is relatively empty, since I\'ve only started sorting out bitz for my Dark Angels. The blue one has about 60 SM models of various types, plus 3 Command Squads worth of bitz, about 8 years worth of leftover parts and 15 plastic Scouts. The white box has enough metal bitz to fully convert 66 Noise Marines (that means guns, shoulder pads, backpacks and heads, plus a few random bitz for characters) and there\'s a couple dozen Demonettes in there too. The blue/clear donut looking box has about 110 Kasrkin models in it, sorted by pose and weapon. That drop troops army might get done some day... some day :D

This last image shows most of my intact boxes, there\'s a ton of em. Sentinels, Heavy Weapons Teams and tanks for my IG project, an entire Tau army (Battleforce, Megaforce, plus tons of extra skimmers), tons of SM stuff (including 2 Ravenwing Battleforces, the DA Army Box, and a Battle Company box you can see in the back corner) etc.

There\'s also a couple of army boxes on the top shelf, but you can\'t see them. There\'s 2 Khemri boxes (yep two of the $360 army launch boxes), the Wood Elf army box, and a buttload of leftovers from a decade\'s worth of starter sets. That means everything from 40k and Fantasy to BFG.

I think there\'s an Empire army in there somewhere too... but I haven\'t seen them in a long time so they may have gone AWOL.

OK Ubies stuff went out yesterday but as his \"local colour\" he requested a pic of OrkyDave and myself. I couldn\'t include it in the package due to me not having a black ink cartridge so I\'ll post it on the forums instead.
Rather than stick it on here, anyone wanting to permanently damage their monitors should take a sojourn in the Freakbar as I\'ll link to it there. Being a glutton for punishment I thought that there was more potential for ridicule than if I posted it here.....

Got my package from Wingz on Friday! A nice mix of various minis, plus a BONUS music CD, can\'t wait to listen to it. When I get some time this week, I\'ll post pics of all the goodies. Thanks again Wingz!

I was offline most off the long holiday weekend here in the States but have returned to find things going well. Johnboyjjb has let me know that he\'s received his miniatures from my flagged recipient, JesterzUSMC, so I\'ll be getting JesterzUSMC\'s minis out either Monday or Tuesday; and I\'ve heard back from my flagged sender, Browncastle, who says my minis will be on their way soon. They might take a while to get here from Norway, buy I\'ll be sure to post back as soon as they do arrive so that his sender can then get his miniatures to him. :)
