I didn\'t see the part about adding items of \"local flavor\" on the rules. Is that still an option?

option, yes - not mandatory, but it\'s allways nice to get someting of local nature

And I\'ve actually put paint on some of my stuff, now I just need to get round to putting some pics up.

OK, I\'m in, but can I request that whoever sends to me holds back on the generosity please? It\'s not that I don\'t like gifts, but I really do have too many minis already and just know I probably won\'t paint them for years. So I\'m doing this more for the giving than the receiving!

I\'m with you on this one and I promise that if I get you you\'ll only get 3. Anyone else, the usual way too many!

Out of curiosity, how many is too many? I like the idea of getting rid of a few extra models...

I would say... 266 is too many, but if u want to send 200 then it\'s ok. :duh:

.... all jokes aside, it\'s hard to pin point but a few extras over the required 2 is not a problem. It\'s really up to you, you wont be seeing them again, apart from maybe in a painted version.

I tend to send out 10+ because I get the whole family involved. We each go thru our cases and pick some and then narrow it down. Last time we had a pile of about 50 on the table and sat and debated the merrits of each one and what the person getting them like. I have mostly fantasy figs from the late \'80\'s and early \'90\'s so that\'s most of what I send out, but it\'s fun to do and keeps everyone happy. That way I don\'t send out something someone wants to use in a game or something.

I don\'t know if this is simply a garbage disposal event, I\'d recommend giving something that might be fun to paint :p

Jericho - Canada - NA Only please (Canada Post sucks)

I try to, hence the debates about the merrits of the minis. But then what I might find fun someone else might not. That\'s the problem.

what one person think is \"crap\" or an uninspiring mini can be the exact opposite to another, the minis Highbulp Billy sent to me in my first ME as the \"serious\" ones are the ones I have not even primed yet - but the \"funny\" items and extras are the ones that inspired me to paint and do something about...

the important thing is to send something and be apart of this, I for one think it\'s the giving away part that is the most rewarding one - to make a fellow painter/human being happy! :)

As far as too many minis goes, I\'m taking the following approach: anything I won\'t get round to painting goes in with what I\'m sending the next person. That way I don\'t end up with even more minis I won\'t paint and they get a bigger selection of stuff.

I\'d have to take out a loan to cover shipping charges if I sent someone all the minis I\'ll never paint. I would like to paint them all, but it\'s not exactly realistic at this stage :D

I have about 4k worth of Blood Ravens to paint, 3k Dark Angels, 2k Imperial Guard (almost 100% Kasrkin models), 2k Mobile Tau, and all the fixins for a fully converted Slaanesh army (minus the plastic bodies :p). There\'s also a new Baneblade box in my closet. And that\'s just my 40k pile. Toss in all the LOTR stuff I won as a prize and will never paint... all my Fantasy stuff... anything from other manufacturers... you see where this is going.

I could probably get a mortgage using my pile of pewter as collateral.
