Quietmanes stuff was sent out on Wednesday by my buddy since I\'ve been out with the flu and an earache. His minis should be there soon, but I forgot to send him some other goodies that my friend left on the counter.

I hope everyone had a good Turkey Day!

Wow that barely even fits in the rules. I guess technically you could count that as one mini that was untouched so he did fit rule 1 and 2. Assuming the marine wasn\'t primed or painted in any way. If it was, I\'m not even sure he should be unflagged.

I\'ll admit to sending D&D minis myself, but usually along with 6 or so non-pre-paints.

I guess either way I am clear to send.

I don\'t blame you for being disappointed that package would have probably put me off participating in future mini-exchanges. Prepaints are technically excluded by the rules:
The minis are NOT to be painted or primed. The exception is if the minis were primed when bought, like Mithril minis.

PRIMED is different to pre-painted, after all what\'s the point in sending something for someone to paint if it\'s already painted?

Yeah, that sucks. I think I sent Gilvan a decent pack, and I am hoping for the same from the one and only UnDave.

My hope was to send and recieve stuff that wouldn\'t normally be bought by ourselves or the sender. Something we might never have gone for if not for this exchange. I think sending the bare minimum and one pre-paint is less than wonderful.

Maybe after they recieve their package they may reconsider and send along some of their good fortune in the spirit of this exchange (hint, hint!).

Where\'s the pics of the minis? Come on people, share. :D

I made a start on an ork yesterday, he\'s very WIP, but then again this is the right thread for it.

I\'ll have some pics up within the hour :)

Edit :

I started on giving him a lumberjack style shirt, but rubbed of the first attempt.

Any advice welcome as ever :) (if anyone could post a link to minis with tartan or check shirts for me to look at that\'d be really helpful also) I\'m going to try for my best rating ever on this guy, so no criticism is too harsh :), I\'ll be doing some more work on him this evening.

Anyone else made a start on any of their gifts? :)

Got home from Turkey Day visits (three f\'n hours to get through Colorado Springs  ) and had a package from Khasmo. He can be unflagged and Crestion du Sable can send.

I\'ll put up pictures later, as the camera is still packed, but got a scenic base, a sprue of shields \'n\' bits, a Reaper battleguard golem, a female wizard warrior?, a dwarf warrior, a dwarf elder?, and a... uh, a, uh, ... hmm... boxing hyena? lol

well reading what some others on here are sending I\'d like to apologise for such a small package. I\'d never participated before, so I was going by the rules, sending a couple of what I considered to be quality models (and they were) however people seem to be sending 10+ models, basing materials, all sorts... next time I do this I\'ll be properly ready. Maybe for future exchanges, particularly for the benefit of people coming to it new like I was here, some examples of what people sent and recieved in the last exchange would be pertinant? I know I could have searched for the last one, but it didn\'t occur to me not to stick to what the rules required. In fact, I steered away from including anything else, because I got the impression that it would be frowned upon...

Aah well, lesson learned, I at least hope that SG2009 enjoys his challenge! maybe another youngblood entry?...that\'s the beauty of death korps of Krieg, it doesn\'t take much to have them looking splendid :)

Don\'t feel bad, and read rule #1 again:
1) You must send at least one miniature, but two is the standard - just in case the person hates the first one. YOU WILL NOT GET THESE BACK, so make sure you don\'t send anything you still want. There has been a tendency to send more than two miniatures. This is acceptable but not to be expected. The rule is one, preferably two. This is not a generosity contest.
And remember, probably those sending a lot of minis never really expected to paint them themselves. If it makes you feel better, they\'re recycling things that may have eventually just been thrown away.
