ME20 - Miniature Exchange #20 \"the coup d\'etat\" - FINAL list pg4

Correct me if I\'m wrong (probably am :D ) but wasn\'t the last ME about a 3-4 month turn around. We\'re now going about twice as often so why not just participate in every other one? There\'s no rule that says you HAVE to participate every time, you don\'t get a sticker or a certificate. Similarly there\'s no rule whatsoever that says you HAVE to paint what you receive although I know some of you impose it upon yourselves which is cool. If you\'re on that route and you do manage to get your mini done in time for the next one then you get twice the fun :D

It\'s all still hypothetical at the moment as ME20 still has much potential for turning into a disaster but I\'m holding out hope. In the end it\'s really down to you lot.

I\'m sure everything will go ok, and thinking about it if you\'ve got the balls to organise the whole thing, then feel free to organise how you see fit.

This is an exchnage rather than a painting thing, so I don\'t see any reason why you can\'t start a new one without painting something from the last one

(I only say that coz I\'m crap and haven\'t painted anything from the 3 I\'ve been in)

I don\'t think so... we have some people, what more do we need? You could do this with three participants, it\'s fully scaleable.

I\'ve actually done the preliminary list already so I can just insert anyone else as and when. The only thing that I was really worried about was wether we\'d allowed enough time for packages to get to where they need to be. I\'ve tried to cut down on transit times by making sure that flagged participants are sending to their own countries and also receiving from people in their own countries. Assuming that internal post is indeed quicker it means that the packages from their senders which are going to be dispatched later than normal due to the unflagging process will still have plenty of time to get there.

Sounds like you\'ve got some previously untapped talent in organization and logistics!

I have sat out the past few, so count me in again. Maybe this will get me motivated to sit down and actually paint something!

Treide - US - will ship anywhere

How does that sound? Even with the crappy Canadian post it shouldn\'t take more than six weeks right? lol

I\'ve had packages take over 6 months to be delivered to the UK. You can never underestimate the slowness of Canada Post. Actually to be honest Customs is often more of a problem then the post. The stuff gets stuck at the border for longer then it gets stuck at the distribution center.

Just remember \"Gift\" Value < $10 That tends to help.

I still say the old timing was good. Besides the whole shipping thing (I know I shipped something that didn\'t show up until the next exchange was finished back around number 15) I\'m in the try to paint at least one group and in the paint very damn slow group. The whole do every other one is logical but you can\'t help thinking you missed out on something each one you missed. Hey Gilvan, to try and keep up with TBMETYNKYLAWTP how about this?

You don\'t skip the second exchange but you must create a diorama using one mini from the first exchange and one mini from the second. Challenge and a half that one :D

What I think would be even cooler would be an ongoing Diorama that you keep adding to that includes at least one mini from each mini exchange you have been in.

I\'ve slightly considered doing that as I have at least one mini left from every ME I have done, but it\'s a pipe dream for me based on how often I paint. I can\'t even seem to get main bad guys done for my D&D game and we play every two weeks.

TBMETYNKYLAWTP - a bit hard to pronounce, especially with a Canadian accent. Lets see if I can do a bit better (as it\'s not late at night after a drive down from Toronto)
