Hi folks
I guess most folks here know me as a mini painter (though, other than a 2nd place at Salute earlier this year, which I REALLY must photograph and get up on here, I haven't done much since the 2009 Slayer Sword!)
Well, as well as mini painting, my other hobby is LEGO building, I am also a big fan of Japanese style mecha.... combining these three things, and luckily being in a position where I run a small toy-design company, I have created a board game and set of multi-part precision plastic kits to turn Minifigs into mecha and then fight them in a fast-paced board-game using scenery that the gamer builds from their own little plastic bricks....

I've had quite a few enquiries from gamers and mini painters about this and I know there's already a reasonable bit of cross-over between those two hobbies so we have just introduced the product that reinforces that bridge
I've also just posted up a pic of a painted example of one of the mechs on my personal photos, we're not being prescriptive about what people do with these, obviously some people will want to keep to the brick aesthetic and leave them as bare plastic, maybe with just a few decals, others will definitely want to treat them like plastic minis and glue them together, paint them etc.
I hope this is something folks like, it's our first Kickstarter and hopefully something we are heading into in a bigger way next year if this work out!
Our Kickstarter is here (and just about funded!) for those interested: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1783629197/mechabrick-a-minifig-mecha-board-game-and-models
Cheers all
Ben
