This is the first of a command group style I am doing followed by some exterminator squad minis as well as a couple of vehicles.
I\'ve really always lied the look and feel of these guys and after some long thoughts research and concept try outs have decided I can have a go at a few of them.
more updates on painting soon

@rextalon .. The tubing is basically copper tubing in a couple of small sizes available at hobby shops. It\'s nice and soft..
When bending it tends to pinch closed so taking a tip from the plumbing trade I basically take a slightly thinner diameter brass rod that fits snugly inside. then carefully bend using flat plyers with a cushioning layer to stop scratching.

As said earlier I\'d done a drawing of what I wanted it to look like so basically cut pieces roughly of the right size and bent into place to fit round the bends ..
There is a pile of bits that didn\'t go right :cussing:

The cables are the cool pewter cables from Dragonforge designs they are awesome.

started painting while cmon off last night and will try and post pics later.
cheers for the comments guys just what I need to keep me spurred on.

Well this is where my general photography suckiness starts to come into play.
Done a couple of quick shots will try get better when daylight.
I have started on the tons of metal on this miniature.
These are at about the 8th level another 3 to go then final weathering.
Each level consists of highlighting up with various metals and then washing with several different gunks.
VMC soke
vmc smoke +vmc clear orange
Catachan Green and water
purple ink glaze
green ink glaze
mucky water basically an uncleaned water pot left to evaporate and thicken to gather up the sludgy stuff at the bottom.Add water and it\'s a cool grime.
I just keep very thinl layering this way throwing glazes here and there until I\'m happy.I\'m aiming for a fairl flat metallic effect and then gonna start weathering with MIG Pigments and inks ....
The stages here are post wash pre highlight..more to come.

Some very, very nice metallics, and I love the conversions! very high-tech. I will have to try that \"Grime\" technique as well. :D

here\'s a few more of latest pics.. The red of the robe is ready for weathering. not quite captured true colour on the pic as only 1 of my lights working at the minute.
Metal is 90% done and has just the right feel of old but still able to work. I have a little rusting to do and am gonna experiment with powders as I want a very subtle rusting..
also close up of my favourite (and the hardest) bit 1 of the 3 little spidery welding bot\'s..they\'re tiny.
let me know what you think guys.

It\'s looking great. I love the metal effect. I also like the figures contrast to the metal parts. I can not wait to see that finished.
