Mega paint set

Do you really want one? I\'m just sayin\' that you might be better off picking and choosing. I bought the VGC suitcase set and for all the beautiful colors I still only really go to about 15 or 20 of them. Sometimes I use a random color just to help feel justified in the money I dropped though. Every now and then I paint a fig that has a pouch on his back belt painted up in Stormy blue or whatever. Maybe a little tentacle pink, where it\'s mostly hidden etc.
But I know they had one together here in Canada that had been redone in a ice looking steel case with some basing material and a few brushes incorparating the foundatin paints and the new washes as well. The price tag of about 400$ CDN seems to ring a bell.

I know what your saying about the core colours that you seem to end up using all the time, just thought about getting them all in one go... only because I don\'t often go to my local GW and when I do go, I either forget which colours I need or end up buying colours i already own lol

If I remember correctly you do not save any money buying that thing. Might as well buy one of every paint and one of every brush because it will cost the same.

You didn\'t save much with the mega paint set (and yes you did save a little bit, I did the math. Plus you got the handy army case with it, $50 value), but with international shipping added I can\'t imagine it would be worth it. I\'d just buy the colors individually. Besides, if you already have the core selection plus a few doubles, it would be cheaper just to buy the rest.
To avoid buying doubles I have an inventory sheet (I buy enough paints that it\'s worth it! lol) Write up a list of what paints you have. Might want to alphabetize that list to help keep things organized. When you discover that one of your paints is running low, make a check mark next to it, that way you know to buy another pot of that color the next time you go to your GW store.
I\'d recommend that you go to the GW website and print off a list of all the paints. Go through your paint collection and check off each one you own, then take that list to your GW store, so you\'ll know which paints you need to finish off your set and not risk accidentally buying doubles.

Spoke to my mate the manager yesterday.
It looks as if it\'s currently out of production and being re-vamped to include the foundations and washes for the Christmas splurge.
