Cheers I've made a few adjustments and also I'm now shooting in raw. It looks different but is much closer to real life now.

I want to try RAW too. Less work on the back end with RAW? Bigger file sizes though right? Looks great dude, especially since he's so tiny too.

RAW files allow you to adjust in much better way many parameters, especially highlights and color temperature. To adjust the color temperature on a RAW file is like adjusting on the camera directly without losing any information. Then "highlighted pixels" can be partially recovered, compared to a jpg. Many advantages...
I personally use Adobe Lightroom, where the process is exactly the same than managing a jpg file.

Sounds complex, but like there is more control. I am using photoshop elements 7. I look forward to it. Must fight cold and destroy leaves first...bargel!

After a few weeks free from painting and getting a few other irons in the fire for after Christmas I've picked up the brushes once again. I must say that it feels good to be creative again.

I've gone large for the next few pictures! I've changed most things on his skin. Btw, I should add that on my screen the head on pictures below is the same size as the whole mini irl!

Waist coat is looking great and the glazing is spot on mate err lot of metal there if you want fast and easy Tmm as you know your stuff with that but I'm tempted to say nmm as this will really push you and force you to learn; no hiding errors on this one.

I really like the soiled look of his vest. And I'm not so sure TMM is all that fast and easy but Andy may be right. NMM may be the way to go and it is much easier to do on the tiny figures.

Ah, well spotted, I didn't see it, but probably would have after it's been painted! Of course the picture you posted is at least twice the size of the whole mini in real life, so it's pretty small.

I've decided to go down the true metallics route rather than nmm but will try dirty metallics (well they will be when I'm finished!).
