I took a good long look trying to find something wrong or in my opinion needed more work as it gets a bit boring saying well done mate splendid etc etc every time I visit your thread also it's good to have pointed out the little mistakes so you can correct them (not because I'm a twat ...er well not too much of a twat anyway;)). COULDNT FIND NOTHING WRONG AT ALL!!!

So here we go its splendid mate well done! ;)

Thanks all :) you should see his hands if you think his shirt is dirty!

Since I finished Ironheart yesterday (pictures will follow tomorrow) I've decided to start on something new. This evening I've been on his face :)

Looks like I need to smooth a few areas out - top and bottom of his face mainly. I need to introduce some more colour too but for an evening I'm happy!

Hmmm. You appear to be getting faster too. I think you and AndyG should have a race. Same mini, same deadline and see what kind of craziness ensues!

Are you CRAZY ZAB, thats like saying hey guys lets see who's brain will explode before their eyeballs melt. Us mere mortals would not be able to handle that kind of contest.

John that's a nicely developed face, looking forward to the rest of him and intrigued as to what colour scheme you'll use.
One thing however, look to the guns foregrip.

Good spot DR , the awesome face stopped me looking any further until you pointed it out.
Will you be doing your chipped and worn armour on this one John

Well spotted DR :) And thanks all :)

After adding more depth and light.... (there's a few things to fix on his right hand side of his face)

I don't mind admitting that this red scheme is pushing me to my current limits! Man alive I'm finding it difficult and time consuming. Looks great though! What do you think?

The red looks stellar, definitely worth the effort. Will you be doing the shoulder pads in the same colour, or a different colour with markings ?

Dear red,
Take that!

Thanks for showing red who's boss, Mega :)

Looks very very good! the red metal is absolutely spot on; but hold the horses it looks metallic and you have used non metal paints isn't that NMM?!? That stuff you swore you'd never do? Your going to say its a plastic high impact armour so it doesn't count aren't you. But I know it's really metal.........welcome to the dark side! (Does the pull down clenched fist yessss move!). Just Skeletets to go and then my work is done ;)

Hahaha - Andy you've caught me there I didn't plan on that happening, honest! Somehow you've played a Jedi mind trick on me!

bah Andy seriously, i wouldnt paint this figure with metal colors either ;P it would be like painting a blood angel power armor with red true metallics, it just isnt suppose to be. and it doesnt count! ;)

i think the red armor looks really great so far, with a few sharp highlights it will look kickass for sure. what red colors are you using?

Yeh Andy, wot he said!

After a a few, well quite a few, false starts I'm now using - GW Khorne Base, GW orkhide shade, Andrea flesh set 1st Light, Vallejo MC light flesh and finally GW blood red as a glaze.
