Though your hammer is NMMP, the copper on the back looks TMM. And I am guessing the overall plan is TMM, since you have such a strong history of this on your Steampunk minis. Is this correct? Also, can you quickly explain your process for weathering the box on his back? Is the work of a sponge or some other method, like the salt? Thanks!

The whole hammer is true metallics but some parts have colour glazed over it just to add extra interest. What do you define NMMP ad?

The backpack is sponged. I start with the Base colours - dark blue to a lighter blue at the top. Then sponge a very light blue onto the areas I want to be aged (this acts like it's the primer coming through below the blue. I then sponge a black brown mix onto the light blue sponged areas but a little smaller so that the white is still visible at the edges. Then I add depth to the black brown by adding brown oranges. I then give the whole lot a wash of gw earthshade (the brown wash which I can't quite remember if that names correct). Finally I pick the edges out with a silver. Really it's pretty straight forward.

Sorry typo. Meant just NMM. And I was further mistaken. Didn't realize there were true metallics underneath. But I do say to both NMM and TMM painters that if I mistake what you did with the opposite technique, it's a testament to your skill.

Thanks for the SBS. So it sounds like a dark blue base. Sponge on some light blue, followed by brown black, followed brown orange, then some ahead earth shade to unify the colors. Then highlight some edges with a silver or similar metallic. Awesome. I take it that you use small bits of blister sponge for this? Thanks for the tips...
