Cheers all, yep I hit the sweet spot with those boot things . Ah, for the blue metals I can say neither of those techniques as I tried something different. It's just the blue colour from his trousers mixed with metallic paint and then wet blended with plain metallics. Quick and easy

Darthmarsh, simply watered down brown paint and loads of tiny fine lines in the direction of hair growth. Really easy if out can paint fine lines well.

JJohnny this may be a tad off topic but can you pm me the paints used for your scratched leather I thought I put it in my folder but to no avail. Thanks.your imho one of the greatest painters around in the hobby currently.
