Here's some more progress. The outside is nearing completion, although I've not yet applied any weathering powders. Interior and dullcoat still to do

Hi,

This is the (almost finished) mini I completed during the Massive Voodoo international beginners painting course I recently attended. The pictures are crap and many of the highlights have gone and a few things need finishing but hopefully you get the picture :)

Once I finish her in the next few days I'll try to update the pictures. But you can find a course report here -

Here's something I've been working on since Euro - picked it up from the nice lads at Dark World Creations. Basically its a resin conversion kit for a Revell 1/24th Ford truck to bring it into the same zombie apocalypse world as their recently released figures. I understand this kit will be up on their website within the next week. So far it been fun to work on something completely different to the norm.

Lots and lots of weathering to be had yet ;)

Very , very cool. I like the model concept and the faded paint job and weathering ( on the white walls) you have going. I assume the rest is going to get some weathering as well? Is this going to be a diorama with zombies aroud the outside?

Again, very cool.

Hi Mega -I loved seeing where this truck was going. When I saw the last piccies with the mini gun on I laughed. What a little surprise. Lovely smooth paintjob so far and the ageing on the chasis is very subtle but beautiful.

Cheers
Will

Great bit of work again from you nice pics too. The misting of white/grey primer to sort the lighting angle excellent. Blood splatter and gore along with weathering on the body work? Barrel flash OSL? This looks like its going to be a winner.

Cheers guys - lots of weathering and grime to add. I've kept the main colour fairly light so that you can see some gore and hand prints which I'll add in the final stages.

Oh man this is looking great. The weathering you have done so far on the frame and wheels is perfect. Once you tie in the rest this is gonna be great.

Things have progressed - other than some mud splats it's pretty much weathered now. There's maybe a couple of other weathering things I'm going to do, but I don't want to weather it to death. Actually I'm wondering if I've pushed it too far already.

Looking great no I don't think you've weathered it too much. I think your in the zone here now.

I think you have it weathered about right. It has the aged, but maintained look. Any further and you would need to dent the heck out of the body panels to fit the weathering.

The only possible critique is that the grille and gas cap look awful clean compared to the rest of the weathering. If it is like my trucks that front end would be seeing a crap load of bugs that would darken it up (or zombie goo :D)
