Thanks all - it's funny I was thinking about too much when I painted the pelt, as such I'm so pleased you like it. Anyway, I've been busy since my last update with an painting ode to Apa/Monkeyman7x :) .....

That's epic! I really like the blues on both the savage and especially on the demon. Not sure the poor guys coming away from this fight though. Death by pincer.

I think the warmer tones in the barbarian set off nicely against the cooler tones of the demon, will be another epic piece from you

Thanks all, I was so in the painting zone yesterday it was a zen like out of body experience. Has that ever happened to you?

Hmmm... Would have appreciated a more diverse set of angles on the photos. Nonetheless, this is an absolutely wonderful versus vignette. Certainly set the standard for both of these figures. You can feel their violent hatred for one another.

Some questions. I've really been wanting to do some brick work pretty much exactly as you have done. How did you make them? Are the pre-made? Sculpted from GS or milliput? Next, it looks like you roughed up one side of the wooden plinth pretty good. I'd like to do the same to my current project's plinth, but it's a very nice piece of some very dense and hard to cut wood. How does one go about hacking away and gutting parts of their base? Is there a cheap tool that can be used for this? Thanks MM!!!

Cheers fellas.

The bricks are from a cech company (when I get home I'll find found which) but I'm pretty sure wamp store sells something similar. I then just super glue them on. It's real easy once you have the bricks.

The base came like that so there was no cutting or trimming involved. It'sa natural knot so that's just how it looks. Once again I can't remember the name of the guy but I can check later in the week although there's a few people that sell them.

Looking brilliant sir.

BFK, in the USA you can email figdaddy263@hotmail.com (Steve Scott) for his selection of bases. He uses a lot of live edge which is the technical term for that edge. It is part of the natural edge of a wood burl. AndyG and 10 have used his bases. CMON used to stock some of his bases in their store.
