This is a piece I had recently done up for a local competition. He placed first in the mounted category. Though the competitors were few, he was placed in a display case for a few weeks. Now he\'s here, and in my gallery. Feel free to volunteer some feedback, or bitchin. :innocent:

First off, your link is wrong, it doesn\'t link to the voting link ;) Common mistake :)

Now, the mini... I\'ll begin by saying this: Black is unforgiving (feel i\'ve said that a few times now :D) as it tends to be hard to get looking good... highlight too much and it no longer looks black, too little and it looks un-painted... Unfortunatly, the last part shows here, the black is lacking alot. Specially on his sword and back thing, the skin of his beast it can go.

Try to get off the drybrush wagon, it really hurts a mini as it\'s easy to see when something is drybrushed, much better results can come from painting.

The base is really nice, but could have used an even more putrid green, just to really stand out. And the skin is great!

All in all, a good mini

Read the photgraphy section in the articles to help improve you photos.

First use a back drop and 2 lamps it will help heaps. Cant see too much cause of the glare but the work I can see is solid. Black is a hard color to paint. Did the vote thing.
