Mental (or is it metal) Breakdown

I\'m trying to upload a new pic to my gallery and seeing as I don\'t have a website, I can\'t use URL, so I am browsing to the pic on my hard drive.

The trouble is, when I click on submit, everything goes pear-shaped and comes up with lots of errors.

What am I doing wrong and am I a complete numpty? <sheepish grin> ???

Do your photos meet the CMoN requirements?

I;m not sure since I always make sure the stuff I upload meets the CMoN requirements, but perhaps your pics dont? They need to have the following characteristics:
600 pixels or smaller in width
100kb or smaller in file size
And I THINK they have to be jpgs, but I am not sure about that one... but its what I always use...

yeah jpegs only (i dunno about gifs)- i tried submitting some bmps and not only were the files tooo large but the whole process cocked up.

ps great use of the word numpty. it is not used enough!!lol

Up to spec

Hi guys - yup I checked all of the requirements for the pictures.

The picture I am trying to upload is

1) Size is 576x432
2) It\'s a Jpeg
3) Filesize is only 38k

I wondered if I have to put the image in a different location for uploading? At the moment its just on my C$ drive in a directory - any probs with that?

Ah ha!! Just tried loading again and it worked a treat! Perhaps there was something wrong last night?
