Metal gone. Metal all gone.

I have sold it.
I have no more minis to paint.
Financial needs outweighed my desire to continue with the hobby.
But, I\'ll still be around to be sarcastic at you all, from time to time.
And who knows? If things turn around, I\'ll probably pick up some pewter and the
brushes again.

I won\'t miss you, because I\'ll still be lurking, occasionally posting, and the like.

 what a shame..... I hope life improves in time for you and you again pick up a paint brush.... but lurking and rattling this rabble’s chains is good too.

I\'ve got a tin cup, freak, and I\'m not afraid to walk up and down your cage, banging
it on each and every bar....

Or worse, I\'ll get out my harmonica and play it for you. I never learned how...

@wiccanpony: Rattling a cage will do for a start... Get him all riled up for his next
visit to the freak bar. :)

cool maybe we could learn together. the only thing i managed was the first few bars of \'silent night\'! tried \'amazing grace\' but lost the music!

Whoa... I might actually be better than you, then. I actually figured out how to
play along with a few Neil Young songs, just by fiddling with the thing.

As long as they\'re in the key of C.

Nothing fancy.

Been there, done that many years ago so I feel for you. :drunk:

Interestingly enough I always keep a Harmonica in my briefcase as I\'ve always wanted to learn how to play. We can have a jamboree of untrained harmonica players.

As the person who bought your pile of metal (nice meeting you in person, by the way), I can safely say that if you want to paint, I\'m sure there\'s lots you can have back to paint . . . for me. :D I\'ll even pay you your commission rate.

Lord knows I don\'t paint anywhere near as much as I buy, or get given.

Topic off...

Dang, there seems to be a lot of closet wannabe harmonica players around here. Makes me wonder if there is something in the psyche of mini painters that makes them prone to want to play the harmonica. Perhaps because it\'s a \'mini\' instrument?

An excellent point. There are a lot more women that play the flute than there are men who play the harmonica, too.

Coincidence?

My wife plays the flute. Don\'t be getting any ideas on that one. :drunk:

Oh wait, your insinuations relate to good things for me. :drunk:

If I ever manage to get to one of the big con\'s, we\'ll all bring our harmonicas and
torment everyone with our rendition of duelling banjos, on harmonica.

I am deeply touched by the offers to send me minis to tide me over and all. But it
isn\'t necessary. While I have sold my own collection of minis, as BP says up there,
there are people willing to pay me to paint, including him -- even if his offer
seems to be being made to help me out during financial tightness.

reverend: It\'s a long story that can be summed up in a few very short partial
sentences.

Government Bureaucracy.
Immigration Officer Incompetence.
Legal Bills for above.
And my least favourite aspect:
Poor Money Management Skills.

I\'ll get it turned around. I\'m made of rubber, and always bounce back.

Once again, thank you for the outpouring of generous offers, but it isn\'t necessary.
